CL's pricing themselves as sites?

It's a while since I used a CL, and really I just searched for one around Alnwick as I needed a water topup, and thought a cheap CL would be the ideal place to do that. Except I can't find a single one under £15.
That's almost campsite fee. I must have missed the news, do CL's just charge what they like now and are there any other options to simply get fresh water fill?

We are booked in at the end of September on a served pitch and works out at £26 a night , didn’t think that was too bad for its location.

Do you mean £36 a night? For two adults

If you divide the £15 by all the nights you presumably have had free, then it will work out quite cheap per night

i seem to have missed the bit where the OP said he had 'free nights'.

we have used 3 CLs on this tour...the first £12...in Kent, lovely field, own facs...2nd in Essex, just the same but £16...3rd in Norfolk, again all very similar but £18....which we though was on the high side...

we used to use a nice CS (other club) in Topsham but 'overnight' the price went from £12 to £25...havent been back.

If you do spend even more of the kids inheritance by going to Hillhead  and get the bus from outside the site to Kingswear ,it is far more fun if you walk to the car ferry to cross to Dartmouth and the chippy just off the car ferry is good

If you use the Dartmouth  steam railway (lovely journey ) really good discount with your travel card , and it was woth the extra pound(3years ago)in the observation car

,Ferry from Brixham  to Torquay is good also a pod of dolphins are quite often in the Bay ,one ferry we got actually went to them for us to watch as they surfed the bow wave

The fee by hand out of chips in Paignton main road to sea from from train or bus station are a definite to try,,GD and myself had several as we walked back and forth past cool

Ps I have been thinking the Op on this thread is so used to "freeloading "is out of touch with reality or the thread is a windupundecided

Doesnt sound too bad HD at £26. Getting late in season for some to stay though I guess. To be honest, it’s a while since I had a look through handbook to work out how expensive some of the Club Sites are. I doubt the pool is open in late September, so that might bring the price down?
We shall be trying out a few Britstops I think in September, one nighters. Got a particular one in mind for going down, have eaten there before, food is lovely, and it’s a cracking location.
