8 outfits on CL site

Feeling rather annoyed and let down by the CL we are currently on.

We have had this booked since the begining of the year, we came here last year and loved it so wanted to return again.

When we arrived we were the 6th unit, one caravan is not occupied at the moment and looks as if its been here awhile.

Since our arrival 2 more units have arrived both MHs.

What to do?

Do we speak to the owner, do we report it. What is the right thing to do.

No one is compromised on space as there is plenty of room, its all tiered and we all have a tier to ourselves except the chap behind us.

Each tier has a gravel area that is surrounded by grass, its up to you how you pitch.

The chap behind in a small camper chose to go on the grass at the far end of his tier leaving the gravel area free. The latest unit MH is now pitched on that gravel area.

Should I take photos as proof, might feel awkward doing that though.

Don't really want to fall out with the owner as he's a great chap but surely this isn't right.

You're right ... it's not right but, you all had plenty of room and you might want to go back again. 🤷‍♂️

Best thing is to pass on the details to the CL team, people on here might demand to know which site you're on but I think a photo and details sent privately to CAMC is the best way forward? Sorry to hear things aren't the same this time round, must be disappointing.

The times a review/post has been written about the same subjectundecided but never reported , ,A

As posted by others who use CLs on a regular basis the type of behavior could if not brought to the clubs attention, can bring the CL networks Government concession to the club to an endfrown

I suggest you speak to the owner.  There are permissable exceptions to the five van rule.  I'm sure you would not want to cause a storm unnecessarily.

I’ve never heard of permissible exceptions to the 5 van rule but I’m sure Maddie will know so she’s not likely to be fobbed off with a tale.

Be happy, Tammy.  Chat to the neighbours. You all have plenty of room. Invite the others round for a drink. They might be nice people. Why run to complain to the teacher. Have a good holiday. x

Hi Everyone thanks for your thoughts.

Decided that the first thing I should do is speak to the owner.

It is all ok, in fact he himself has been in touch with the club. It seems he has been put in an awkward position by the ferries going and coming from Ireland. Lots of them are being rescheduled at short notice leaving travellers having to try and find a site at short notice. Some have had to stay an extra night.

The owner has been advised by the club that given he has sufficient space to help out then he should do so and a note has been made.

All is well as 2 of them are going in the morning on the ferry.

The owner was very understanding, as I said he is a lovely chap and the CL is rather nice.

Thanks once again for your thoughts, we don't want to see these CLs close.
