Posted on 19/05/2018 08:17 by Rocky 2 bucketsI’ve never looked on you as anything other than an ‘A’ Tinny, an ‘A’ in every way. . . .That'll be ‘Affable’, not the other(cough/spit) nasty word😤😤😊

Posted on 18/05/2018 12:26 by moulesyOh no! Not this old chestnut again, surely?
Look, we don't use an awning heater, we don't even have a full awning. But could someone please explain to me why, for instance, it's OK to sit in your van with the heating on at, say 2kw, but not to have both the van and awning heating on at 1kw each?
Why are some folk so concerned that someone else might be using a few pence more electricity than themselves? It's just a nonsense IMHO ( speaking as someone who uses as little as possible, that is!

It’s because you seem to be confused by the difference between the heat source rating (1 or 2 kw) and consumption. Your heating might never switch on in Spain, but might not be able to achieve a comfortable temperature in north Norway. Using an awning won’t half your caravan consumption, nor will the availability of 2 kw in your van double it. Heaters need to replace heat lost and the larger space of a caravan and awning combined, will create a greater heat loss - but maybe none in Spain.
