Hi everyone!

Share your views about our UK Club campsite facilities and earn a cash reward!

We’re partnering with Discovery Research, an independent research agency, to gather some feedback to help us deliver great holidays on UK Club campsites. We love to hear your feedback on likes and dislikes, suggestions for improvements and reactions to new ideas.

We’re now looking for some members to take part in a short online research community to help shape future UK Club campsite facilities.

About the research community:

  • The online community will run 11, 12 and 13 April 2022
  • There will be 3 tasks to be completed - one per day
  • Each task will take approximately 30-45 minutes
  • To help us understand your thoughts, we may ask you to share pictures/ video about the topics we will be discussing
  • By taking part you will earn a thank you cash reward!

To be eligible to take part you must:

  • Have visited a UK Club campsite in the past 12 months
  • Be available to participate 11, 12 and 13 April 2022
  • If you fancy participating and can answer yes to both of the above questions, simply register your interest before before Wednesday 6 April by clicking HERE to complete a short Google form hosted by our trusted partner Discovery Research.

As you’ll appreciate, we need to involve a really good mix of members to ensure we get well-rounded feedback, so whilst we won’t be able to follow up with everyone who registers, we do truly appreciate all interest shown. After registration, if you’ve been selected a Discovery researcher will be in touch with you to confirm your participation.

If at home would give it a try but we will be on a club site and as now at Seacroft the WiFi is abismal so I  would not be able to complete their requirementsyell

I thought I'd try it but the on line form requires a lot of information which is no doubt very useful data to CAMC.  As there's no indication of what follows I decided against, I wonder how many will actually take part?

I think you can read all about what may be involved >here<

Well, I don't qualify. I wonder whether they might get a more creative idea by asking those who avoided CAMC sites and why.

Good point CY. I have also decided not to participate.

I could suggest a research question…….

”How happy are you for the Club to spend a very large sum of Members money on employing external Research Companies, and paying out to selected participants?”

a. Perfectly happy, 🥳I don’t care what the Club does with my money

b. Somewhat unhappy, 🤔as the Club has/is recruiting in-house Marketing employees who surely have the qualifications and capabilities to carry out Market Research as part of their remit

c. Not happy,☹️ as the Club has a history of spending large amounts of money on projects that the Membership doesn’t prioritise, and who would prefer more income to go on the Club Sites themselves

d. Seriously enraged🤬 to the point of thinking my money just might be better spent on other options.

(I have included semiotic symbols so that everyone can understand the choices😉)

That’s a 👎from me.

Somewhere between ☹️ and 🤬 I think.

Remember, these amateur member researchers will be given a monetary reward - that's our money - as well as the research company being paid.

My other objection is of the sharing of personal information both with the researchers and Google. It's not fear, as someone said and which made me laugh, but a sensible precaution to only share with those who have a need to know.

The more I write, the closer I move to 🤬

🤬 from me. But I'm not a member. Worked for local government who were fond of such 'research'. Waste of the highest order, cost of 'research', 'streamlining, making folks redundant, then a few months down the line realising research was flawed.......

So glad I'm not a member these days. I'd only rejoin if a CL or site was near where I wanted to be without alternatives.

I agree with you in many ways, B2.

I also think the info we've been given about the research is rather vague. Is it about improving facility blocks (unlikely), providing games facilities, branching out into more and better quality self catering accommodation (that one would get a 👍 from me as C&CC are streets ahead in that department), providing entertainment etc etc? I can think of no better and cost effective  way of carrying out research on specific points than by contacting members directly.

At least we're being open and honest about our views.
