In the light of the moans I have read on CT over the time I have followed it I thought it may be time for members to re write the CC site rules and terms and conditions of use.

Over to you.

Abolish all the rules, let people do what they like e.g dogs not on leads, speeding on site, people walking through your pitch, arrive at any time.

Oh I forgot, silly me, its normal practice for some!

Abolish All Rules - then on-one would break any.

ie; no-one would be speeding on site etc!!

We have recently returned from a 7 week tour of Scotland and stayed on quite a number of cc sites.  All were ok to excellent but the best one of all was Grantown on Spey (affiliated).  Very few rules, very few signs about the site, toilets never closed, beautifully kept and with a relaxed atmosphere.  I think the cc could learn a lot of lessons from this site

Apart from allocating you a pitch and taking a deposit as happens at G on S.

If we are looking for a new rule it should be that all the fools that accost fellow campers with the busy body members war cry “that’s against club rules” should be strongly reminded that “rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men” and should then be ejected from the site.

Of course he is entitled to his opinion, thats what forums are about

My opinion is that the CC on-site rules are there to ensure that everybody enjoys their holiday and certain standards of behaviour and consideration for fellow holiday makers  can be maintained

Cool

A change in the rules could be :-- Those who don't want to abide by the CC's on-site rules should find somewhere else to have their caravan holidays.

Cool

Being guided by rules doesn't mean you break them! I've had wise folk guide me all my life and I'm old enough now to realise I'm still learning and l'll continue to seek that wise guidance.
