In the light of the moans I have read on CT over the time I have followed it I thought it may be time for members to re write the CC site rules and terms and conditions of use.

Over to you.

It won't happen, but I would make potential new members undertake a few suitability tests:

Responsible parenting skills test

Responsible dog ownership test

common sense recognition test

polite and friendly test

(to be repeated at bi annual periods, membership withdrawn upon failure!)

I would fail the first test ( don't have kids), but the last test i would pass with flying colours Innocent. Use left and right arrows to navigate.

Pegs ahould be cemented into the ground at regular intervals to suit awnings for hard standing. Save us sweating and swearing trying to get our pegs in, We can then casually attach our awning straps to the permanent pegs.

Would be near on impossible given the size difference in awnings and vans, plus also whether people choose to go nose in or out.  Then there is the trip hazard presented by unused pegs...

Rule 16 which seems to state " the previous 15 rules do not apply to me, even though i agree to them as a member" needs to be removed.

... and what about that pesky pitch peg. Never understood the obsession with that. Why does it matter how the van/awning/car is placed as long as the fire spacing is maintained. This rule makes CC sites so uniform and boring in appearance compared to, say, France

chrisn7 - it does at least cater for the worst case - think if the unit to your left parked as close to you as possible and so did the unit to your right it would (on many sites, i agree not all) be impossible for you to pitch and keep the fire spacing between your car / awning and those units. Also its ok for folk like yourself that recognise the need BUT novices and those that just never wise up do not. It has been discussed so much and a better solution acceptable to all never seems to emerge..

I  would  like  the  Arrival  Time  Rule  to  be  totally  abolished  and  then,  on  successfully  booking  you  are  given  a  personal  arrival  time,  to  be  Strictly  Observed  !!  Any  lapses  would  mean  dispatch  to  the  end  of  the  days  Bookings !!  The  Toilet  Cleaning  Times  should  be  relaxed  after  the  provision  of  a  small,  Unisex,  Chargable,  Block,  complete  with  a  retired  Wardens  Great  Granny   seated  just  inside  ( out  of  the  cold  &  wet  )  with  a  collecting  box  which  will  only  accept  folding  money  !!
