In the light of the moans I have read on CT over the time I have followed it I thought it may be time for members to re write the CC site rules and terms and conditions of use.

Over to you.

If we are looking for a new rule it should be that all the fools that accost fellow campers with the busy body members war cry “that’s against club rules” should be strongly reminded that “rules are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men” and should then be ejected from the site.

Of course he is entitled to his opinion, thats what forums are about

My opinion is that the CC on-site rules are there to ensure that everybody enjoys their holiday and certain standards of behaviour and consideration for fellow holiday makers  can be maintained

Cool

A change in the rules could be :-- Those who don't want to abide by the CC's on-site rules should find somewhere else to have their caravan holidays.

Cool

Not in the least K; I don't believe in anarchy.  But I do believe that before blindly accepting and complying with rules, laws, and guidance everyone should think and see whether and how it applies to the particular situation they find themselves in.

one primary consideration for me, which is left out here, is how a particular situation/action impacts on others! Sometimes rules are there to protect us all against the selfish and thoughtless.

.but all are open to enterpritation as is proven by the vast sums of money paid to the law professionals  to untangle  them

Write your comments here...I often wonder why people choose to join organisations or clubs when that organisation or club have rules which the person disagrees with.

My local golf club has rules to ensure safety, fair play and protection of the club infostructure. Nobody breaks those rules, because that's the conditions they signed up to.  Members  know that if they do break those rules they will no longer be a member of that club.  Our Sailing club is exactly the same.

The CC is no different, if anybody joins the CC they are accepting the on-site club rules. If they subsequently find they cannot comply, then they should discontinue their membership.

K sit down, but twice in one day, +1

No one is forced to join the CC are they? If you don't accept the rules then don't join.

I can't imagine what it must be like to be so black and white that I would blindly do something just because of a rule regardless of, need, circumstance, situation, etc; but I can see that it relieves anyone that does of the need to think Undecided.  Does common sense not come into play somewhere?

What particular rule were you thinking of? The opening paragraphs of the rules do make it fairly clear what is required when staying on a CC site:-

d. Compliance with our Club Site Rules is a condition of membership and a condition of site usage for members and non-members.

Wardens have an element of discretion, not members.

The rules were there when you joined, DD. What's the problem? Is this the right Club for you?

In the interest of public safety I think someone should explain Deleted UserUsers attitude to complying with rules as given here to his dive buddies.

Imagine that making this discussion so personal is against the rules of this forum to which we all signed up.
