The Club were quite pro active around office costs during COVID. There was a report back from DG about how the Club had looked to reduce office space and save on rental I think. Most of the office jobs involved a degree of working from home, and if you check out the vacancies, many offered involve a percentage of home working. There are quite a few current vacancies at the moment, waiting to be filled, of a variety of posts and positions. Club are still advertising for Site Staff as well.

Its hard to know what’s happening with Committees, other than AGM, I don’t think I have ever seen any meeting minutes, but then I’m not registered with any area, and this might be where all the information is. If anyone knows where Regional Meeting Minutes are posted, I would be glad to know?

Let's not kid ourselves that being a member of the CMC is first and foremost what we, as individuals, get out of our membership. The CMC is not a campaign organisation (many of us might like it to be so!) so the only reason to belong  is because it offers what we want from the organisation. Once that offer becomes diluted we start to assess whether we should be members. To me it's as simple as that? Having access to nearly 200 campsites and a couple of thousand CL's is currently worth the relatively small amount I pay annually to be a member. Whether you like the way the Club is run, or its efficiency as annoying as that sometimes can be,  is secondary to the usefulness of having access to its sites and services. There are, of course, alternatives out there but the club does have some sites in some pretty unique places which you can't find elsewhere so there are lots of reason to remain a member.

On the wholeI agree DK. But a functioning website allowing you to view Sites, find CLs, pay your Membership, book easily on line, cancel and get a refund easily online, is an absolute necessity in this day and age as well, hence why this thread is running.

It’s why I use Tesco home delivery rather than any other supermarket home delivery, quick, intuitive, reliable, set up to be used with individual preferences, easy to pay and almost instant refunds. Not a bad rewards scheme either down the years……. Tesco know logistics inside out.

We are registered with a region. Never hear anything. Never see any minutes. Never hers about relevant regional meetings.

Rowena puts the dates for regional meetings on here and occasionally we get personal feedback from someone who has attended. It would be interesting to hear more to keep people in the loop.

Sorry to hear that you've had issues renewing online Tony, please could you send us an email with your membership number and the first line of your address and we will get this investigated. If you have any screenshots of the error message you received that would also be helpful *Rachel"

Rowena said this was a known problem, but obviously not everyone at CAMC is aware of it, but just for good measure herewith the screen shots again

well something to shout about, renewing your memership manually e.g. sending in form and giving credit card details works, my card was debited today, and, the membership data base has been updated because if i now try to renew, it says silly boy you are already a member, we will send you a message when you next need to renew, so now unable to check if the online facility works or not. undecidedI wonder if anybody took notice of the comments i made on the form re online facility not working ?

I have just received my letter inviting me to renew my membership which followed numerous emails asking the same. It states that membership cards have gone digital " inspired by members feedback bla bla bla" Why do the allway use the "excuse " that ever change made is due to being inundated by membership requests to do so,why not just admit this is happening because its what "The Club" wants to happen. I am aware that you can still ask for the physical card if required.
