Reliability survey where is it?

The story so far

In September 2015 an item on p12 of the magazine stated that nearly 40 000 people had filled in responses to the much vaunted leisure vechicle survey.  This item was headed thanks for your help, and promised summary results would be published in subsequent additions of the magazine and online

November 2015 issue  nothing.

December 2015 issue a summary report that is so sanitised that it would make a North Korean censor blush.  Obviously no names mentioned Further more detailed analysis promised in future Issues.

January 2016 nothing

February 2016

March 2016 magazine nothing,

However I did attend a question time meeting at which the audience were assured that it would be published

April nothing

May nothing

June nothing

July nothing

The August issue of the magazine has just become available online and as far as I can see nothing!

Perhaps I have missed something so please correct me but if I am correct, then the Caravanclub  should explain why the survey has not been published.

Apologise to the 40000 people who wasted their  time filling in the survey

I realise that breaks  "never apologise never explain" which appears to the Caravan clubs guiding principle in dealing with its members, but maybe they should try shining a light in some dark places.

I would not be surprised if it's never published.

There's a fair chance all the manufacturers had lots of problems and the "club" does not want to get involved with such matters.

Does anyone really think we are going to learn something new from the survey?...Im not a betting man but i bet Bailey Swift Eldiss will be the top three most troublesome vans.....only to be expected as they are the volume sellers. Its a dealer survey we need to let us know how they perform when problems occur.

Don't know why anyone would expect the top three selling manufacturers to have most problems.  I haven't had to return any of my top selling new cars, mobile phone etc, etc for any warranty work and my expectation is that is that they will give me years of reliable service with regular maintence.

Agree with you about dealer performance

Some time to go yet, as the club think recently is over two years ago.

I just  happened to glance sideways when reading this thread and there in the margin is an advert for red pennant, referring to a rescue when recently touring ( June 2014) ??

I don't see why this is true.  It wouldn't be unreasonable for them to have the most complaints by number.  But it is the proportion of complaints for each brand that is important.

My belief is, and it has been since I started this tread, that there is one maker that has come out very much worse than the others.

Anyway not long to wait as Ro stated that it would be published  at the end of summer See page 2 of this thread

Actually she didn't she said give feedback to our members at the end of the summer. I've just checked.   Which is not  the same as publishing the results.

That's fine but if I download it will I be able to delete it without deleting the whole app, because I sure can't with downloads of the magazine

I'm downloading on my pc, no idea about using the app. Pity it wasn't announced on CT, this would have helped everyone on here. You have to look at club news to find it.

hi Brue, Rochelle announced it yesterday: see http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/community/discussions/club-talk/caravanning-events-and-announcements/Results-of-the-Leisure-Vehicle-Survey-are-in/rt/1596396/

So, where did the notion that it is a reliability survey come from?   The finished report is no such thing, merely a pretty anodyne "Leisure Vehicle Survey".
