Having just received the Jan 2016 Club Mag, we are informed that the Membership Fee is increased yet again from £46 to £48 from 15/12/2015. This is an increase of 4.3%, yet UK inflation for 2015 is forecast to be 0.1%. Over the last 3 years, the Membersip Fee has increased from £43 to £48, an increase of 11.6%, yet UK inflation was 4.1%. I fail to understand what justification can be made for these excessive and apparently ceaseless increases

Fish, every business needs to monitor and manage its overheads on a regular basis....

what you have suggested is no different to what many companies have been doing regularly in these straigtened times.

if customers are actually posting concerns over the prices of a business' products (and the 'value' of an unwanted product) on their own website, they would do well to heed them.....

Fish, surely you can't be serious?, take people's jobs from them just like that to enable a few quid to be saved on Membership fees?, if that is a serious post I find it shockingSad

Been a member for 30 odd years, happy to stay a member despite only staying on Club Sites a total of 7 nights last year (one of which was via a free voucher, which of course we used at a very expensive £29 per night site!). What keeps us members? Access to cheap, quiet, wonderfully diverse CLs.

Everyone has their own personal reason for taking out membership, but if you are moaning, then you are not getting what you as an individual need from the Club, so the answer should be, either adjust your touring requirements, or simply don't rejoin! There are actually lots of other options out there.Happy

i take other types of 'everything is done for you' holidays....

i have room to park my MH on my drive, so no storage costs...

my wife already had a car so we didnt need an 'add veh with m/vUndecided'.....(surely those with caravans have the cost of upgrading from to a car that can safely tow the weight of the van?.....)

anyway, none of the above takes away from the fact that CC prices are rising quickly, memberership and site fees.

those that can make use of off-peak deals at commercials (7 nights for 5, or 5 nights for £50) are voting with their feet.

those who cant, and have to pay peak prices at club sites (after all theyre members...) are certainly noticing it.....

Write your comments here...And your point is ? its the younger generation who seem to be wanting a different lifestyle as i said ,  we are  some of the last people who grew up with a job for life and a pension to match ,the younger generation  today have a completely different outlook on life it seems

...yet, the CC are placing their product beyond the reach of those customers they are purporting to attract.....

that is my point...Undecided

I don’t join French, German, Italian or any other European equivalent of CC Ltd but I still get value for money when I am abroad so this year I may dump CC Ltd and go commercial.

There is of course the fact that several on CT have commented  how difficult it is to get into some sites, particularly at weekends. If you removed the membership fee one can only assume this would get worse.

There is a saturation point at which customers will judge a company by "value for money". If they think that a particular company no longer offers "value for money", they will vote with their feet and buy their goods and services from another company.

The CC is reaching this critical point and we should not be surprised at the reduction of customers buying their products.

JVB, with your insider knowledge, perhaps you could enlighten us as to what 'cheap' pitch prices will be.....

£40 per night or will be going back to basics for £15?

IE, not £25....

i assume its one or the other, otherwise you wouldnt have posted this 'nugget'?
