Not moving with the times

This club could be fantastic, if only it was to listen to its members, some reasons below;

1. Very slow website, cannot find a website as slow as this one, even ones you do not have to pay for!

2. Inability to search for fully serviced pitches (perhaps because they do not have many)

3. Being superseded by free forums such as Adults only caravan sites on Facebook

4. Wasting money, why does the club not ask all members if they need a magazine, I would have been happy to have an electronic version, also helping the environment

5. With all my posts asking for reasons for these issues not being addressed and approaching the site directly no action has been taken, or even reasons why they cannot

I have enjoyed the discussions on the site and interestingly my concerns have been covered several times by others. Note the times I go on the website has to be on off peak times due to the slow website.

It is sad that I will not be renewing my membership, as I do not intend to pay for membership where there is no official feedback from the club when issues are raised.

Hopefully I will rejoin when basic issues are sorted out.

Kind Regards

Derek

There is a way of getting around all that - not the minimum nights obviously (just getting the info) - but the navigation.

I have been using the C&CC site a lot recently to make bookings and I am finding it very fast compared with this site.

Me too, don’t get all this ‘you are in a queue.....’ stuff and random error messages on the App.

Grid: the insert which is enclosed with the Sites book; or else I have the web-page open on-line showing the minimum bookings periods, and flick from one page to the other. (Perhaps "chart" would be a better word???) But maybe because I book more C&CC sites than this Club's I am more familiar with it all.

So booking online ideally needs a paper product as well, one which digital members won’t have, or having two tabs on the computer open and moving to and fro.

Sheesh, no wonder I don’t often use C&CC!

Those stones must be expensive

Not really Dave but all grass sites tend to be less popular.I have used a number of all grass sites .... it is the ones with mixed pitches but a low percentage of hardstands that I avoid

It was meant as a lighthearted comment. Not serious

Well it's not compulsory. You can just 'find out' at the end as you have described happens. As I said, I use C&CC sites more than CAMC sites and so I know which sites have restrictions.

But what the heck. it's a trend on here for some to find nothing good about the C&CC whatsoever. I like the C&CC.

Well I use them as they do fill some gaps. They are a second choice though if a CMC site is nearby for a number of reasons

I like the C&CC sites and it's only their flipping booking system with its constraints that bugs me.

Actually, I thought the trend on here was more towards knocking CAMC 🤷🏻‍♂️

I can cope with any confusion about the length of minimum stay and clunky technology etc, but I don’t like to pay more than necessary. Example: CMC Malvern Hills & CCC Blackmore. More-or-less identical sites next door to each other. 7 Sept for 2 nights, CMC £51.40, CCC £38.20. Why pay more? I’m currently putting together an itinerary for a 30 day trip, on that basis I could save a load of money
