How does this Club compare with the ‘Other’?

I’ve started this discussion to try and collect together any direct comparisons between CC and C&CC.

One mentioned several times is that C&CC charge deposits with bookings, whereas CC does not. In that same discussion, it was mentioned that the C&CC membership was larger than CC’s, which surprised me. Can anyone provide the stats?

What other factual differences can be identified?

Folks

Just a reminder that if anyone thinks a post contravenes the Community Guidelines, the correct procedure is to press the report button and let the Community Manager know.

And leave it there.

Cheers

I wonder if the C & CC forum is up and running again. I can't look at it as I don't want my name displayed again. Anyone tried using it or is it still shut down?

Well done the forum manager !!  There is no need for arguments on a forum like this.  Wink

Now  thankfully,  those among us who like to keep the postings friendly can return to the thread.

There is IMO, no appreciable difference between the CC and the C&CC. Both provide camping places of a good quality.

The only observable difference is in the average age of the customers of the two organisations, with the C&CC catering for the full spectrum of ages and the CC catering mainly for the retired fraternity.

That aside, I would recomment membership of both organisations.

Cool

At this time of year and with the unusual weather - I would say the booking system of the CC is a far better option - being able to cancel a booking - although I suppose since its winter and there could be availability.  I haven't had a lot of luck finding well priced CLs open where I want to go.

Where are you looking for pippah? We've been able to find ones to suit us for the last 4 weeks and for a few more should we stay away that long. We have never had to pay more than £14pn for a CL this past year.

As far as I can see the C&CC don't have any non awning pitches. It's not something I particularly think about because it is very rare for me to use an awning.

Setthorns is a terific site. >snip< If you don't need EHU, plenty of very nice standard pitches at excellent price.

Yes I had noticed that they are hardstand as well! I don't think the  CC has one single hardstanding none electric pitch even including the late arrivals or ferry pitch areas.
