How does this Club compare with the ‘Other’?

I’ve started this discussion to try and collect together any direct comparisons between CC and C&CC.

One mentioned several times is that C&CC charge deposits with bookings, whereas CC does not. In that same discussion, it was mentioned that the C&CC membership was larger than CC’s, which surprised me. Can anyone provide the stats?

What other factual differences can be identified?

I don't think folk are attacking the CC&C itself just the system they have opted to go with. It helps no one playing the 'them & us' card. It's merely opinions, if the opinions help to protect members then it's all to the good.

i dont think anyone is doing thst, merely trying to understand the swift raising of awareness following the opening of the other forum, citing circumstances that are identical on other forums including CT.

if anything, drawing attention to these somilarities (rather than the differences) might make more CT ers aware of these pitfalls.Happy

BB, not looking to argue, merely to say that on other forums you have the option not to be shown when online, on CT you have the option of viewing only, on C&CC you have niether at the moment. It would be nice to have a choice..... Cool

That's the difference BT-choice, given the choice I doubt many would choose to display so much info. Let's hope no one suffers in the long term.

I'm sure they'll sort it out, they're obviously going to drop the real name bit. Maybe it shouldn't have gone live until they'd thought it through a bit more, it isn't on open view to all like CT.  I think people like reading forums even if they aren't members or signed up for anything. I certainly browse other forums.

It will be interesting to see how it develops HD. If it puts the majority off there isn't much point in having a forum. While their slogan is "The friendly Club" are they also a responsive and listening Club?

Comparing the two, there seems to be more activity on this discussion alone than there is on the whole C&CC forum at the moment.

That is because it is new and the access to it is currently hidden. It did briefly appear on the members page but last time I looked I couldn't find it without doing a search function.

The C&CC should have taken the trouble to see what is good and what is not so good with the CC forum before planning and implementing their version.

They have had the advantage of seeing where the CC went wrong. That should have triggered a desire to have a forum which surpassed the CC one regarding customer satisfaction.

Sadly that has not happened and their forum appears to be a very poor example of people not knowing what they are doing.  Don't see their forum being popular with C&CC members unless they go back to the drawing board and do as the words of a famous song implies ---- Quote :- "And sent them homewards to think again"  end quote
