Excessive site fees

Just returned from Chester Fair Oaks site, one night, £31.30 !!, I nearly choked on my dentures, It was our first trip out this year, only able to book something last minute.Ok, apparently, our over night stay was classed as still in  the 'High' season, but £31.30 per night (two adults) to stay in my own caravan is ridiculous. The club is in danger of  killing the goose that layed the golden egg. it's easy sometimes to forget that we have also paid a membership fee for the privilege of being charged so much.

The problen with this site is no PMs

I couls have asked somebody to send me one if the thread got back to topic. I think that CC sites are a tad expensive but feel the same about most sites

We all want 5/6 star sites for 3 star prices Surprised but they are just not out there, we also demand a lot for our money but don't always get it Sad we will always be in most cases customers who pay up and put up with it Sad

we our selves  moan about how prices have risen but we know what standards to expect on site and if it's where we want to go  as I said pay up

Good point David......although someone is sure to point out any minutr now, that comparing with sites in Europe is unfair / inappropriate etc.....because it proves the argument that CC are generally over-priced for what they offer.

Five star sites have covered heated swimming pools, outdoor water parks with slides and lazy rivers,  restaurants, hairdressers, saunas, shops, shuttle buses to town or beach, indoor wet weather activities for children, drying rooms for clothes, private family bathrooms, communal barbecue areas, and the like. Let's not kid ourselves that the Club runs five star sites.

..Not short of most of that at Hillhead, but that if posts on here are to be taken notice of ,is not what a large section of memers do not want, and are happy with and are quite happy with how things are
