As all sites and CC approved sites have been suspended for 3 months (30th June) are we to expect the CMHC to suspend all memberships for 3 months.? My membership is due in July so I'm a bit loathed to not be able to use it and go anywhere only to be hit with a renewal as the suspension is lifted.

I have a number of annual payments that I cannot use at the moment, NTS HS, WWT,  Beamish Museum, NYMR and other various railway preservation societies  and my annual over there insurance, but none of them have said they will give a refund or an extra three months. The club isn't the only one to do this.

Charities are a bit different though, as folk often subscribe to those in order to directly support them. The CAMC is not a charity. Even English Heritage has given a 3 month extension, although they give you the option to opt out. It would be nice if the CC did the same. Personally I am quite happy to carry on paying, as I can afford it, others are not as fortunate. If like us your renewal isn't until January, a 3 month extension might be very helpful when you are trying to get back on your feet when this is all over,

all charities though aren't they ....

I'm really not sure, is the national trust for Scotland a charity? My local photography club isn't.

You may be right but my point is that I can't access them but I want to support them and they are not offering any freeze on payments.

You could look it up Corners and you'll find the answer...NTS is an independent charity.

I'm more concerned that I may not be able to get back on my feet because it is all over ...

Again what main service, if you mean using a club site no one is paying pitch fees so that is that taken care of, but if my view the membership fee is totally different, as stated above to ET.

The reason that I and many others pay an annual sub to CMC is for access to sites. That access is not available.

If my main reason for being In the CMC was for the sites then I am afraid I would not be a member of the CMC In my opinion the sites are far to expensive in high season.

I really hadn't thought about it in that way.

The CL's are also currently not available. We all have different reasons for membership. For me it is definitely the sites. We don't tend to use them much in high season. Not so much because of the price, more because they are rather busy.

We all have different reasons for membership.

Generally the reason is not charity though wink

The site network is the only reason we joined the club.

Like Steve, we don't use sites at busy peak times. In fact, we don’t go anywhere at those times. Hmm, perhaps I should ask for a pro rata reduction in the membership fee in view of that🤣🤣🤣.

https://www.nts.org.uk/

The National Trust for Scotland is a charity registered in Scotland, Charity Number SC 007410

My point is I'll help support a charity but not sure why I should support a business with more than a few quid in the coffers. I'm not expecting anything back from the £10 a month I pay to the National Trust.
