If there’s any difficulty, I just unclip our waste drain hose from under the sill and drop the nozzle of the tap through the bars of the grid.

Altnaharra - there’s a challenge 😄

I know it’s off topic, but just out of interest what is the problem at Altnaharra? When we visited we still had the caravan.

Unless it's changed recently, there is no MHSP and the only general use service point is on top of a mound only accessible on foot.

Cornersteady enquired whether C& CC was more MH friendly than CAMC. Provision of drive-over waste dump is about equal from what I've seen. However, based on the fact that they allow "splash & dash" and a choice of non-EHU or EHU then I would say C&CC is the place for motorhomers.

Complaints that motorhome oriented facilities are not suitable for "all" members seem spurious. Not "all" members require playgrounds/ dog walks. That is not seen as discriminatory.

Thanks for the reply CY. Fair enough, though I wonder how many MH don't take up EHU?

Just to be clear I didn't make any reference or complaint as to your last paragraph:

But, but, but……the C&CC non-EHU pitches are all on grass as far as I’m aware and we hear most MH-ers prefer HS so I’m not sure that makes C&CC much more MH friendly.

It hasn’t changed. Water, waste and CDP is by that sign on top the mound. Wonderful site though.

I'm a motor caravanner and have a machine that does not really need EHU but if I have no choice but to pay for it then I will use it.  Given a choice, providing the saving is reasonable, I don't.  Simple really.

Good to know but I'm not at all sure how that answers my question about EHU take up on CCC sites?
