CLOSED - Lewd behaviour Tredegar Site shower block

During a recent visit to Tredegar site, I noticed that  Holes have been drilled between the male shower cubicles. These have been deliberately positioned to enable lewd behaviour and with the intent of Voyeurism. I have since learnt that this has been an on going problem for at least five years. Don't not allow your children to go to the shower blocks on their own. I reported to the wardens and to the CC head office. But feel that no one is taking this seriously.  I,m not sure what to do next to escalate the problem ? Any suggestions?

M/Mike, contact the Police. It could be a 'child protection' issue, no ifs or buts it needs investigating. It goes beyond informing local organisations. You can then rest easy knowing you have done as much as you can.

A second vote for reporting to the police.  Sounds like reporting to wardens and club hasn't solved the situation if its been known about for 5 years.

As there is a suggestion of a possible child protection issue, I've reported this to HO requesting that it be brought to the urgent attention of the Sites Team to investigate.

Spot on Jill, anything with safeguarding (as child protection is called in schools) should be acted upon straight away even if there is no actual danger, better to be safe than sorry.

It would be interesting to know what the wardens said in reply, and who drilled these holes and when? If they have been there five years it would mean the same people have been using them that long?

Another vote to inform the police.  Surprised

My OH would take a roll of Duct tape to the shower block to temporarily block up the holes, then knowing him he would go back to the van, find something in our bits and bobs box, and fill them permanently.

Yes, tell the Police. They might get more action from CC than us.

Well done, Jill, for acting promptly.

The CC never sease to amaze me , if i post something contraversial i get "the warning E-mail", but a member has made a serious allegation against a site and it seems that HO do 1 of 2 things

1, run round like headless chickens

2, bury their head in the sand

Why should it be down to members to prod the Club in to action???
