During a recent visit to Tredegar site, I noticed that  Holes have been drilled between the male shower cubicles. These have been deliberately positioned to enable lewd behaviour and with the intent of Voyeurism. I have since learnt that this has been an on going problem for at least five years. Don't not allow your children to go to the shower blocks on their own. I reported to the wardens and to the CC head office. But feel that no one is taking this seriously.  I,m not sure what to do next to escalate the problem ? Any suggestions?

The Wardens at Tredegar House have informed me that they are aware of the holes referred to in this thread.  They are situated in one of the panels in one of the showers and have been there for a number of years, caused by a hole being drilled for shower fittings in the wrong place.  The holes are filled and the Wardens check them every day as part of their routine toilet cleaning duties.  Should the filling become displaced, the holes are refilled.  There have been no reported incidents over the years in regard to these holes.

If you have concerns whilst on site, please talk to the Site Staff.

Thank you

Write your comments here...if the filling falls out just replace the panel, for me that's the obvious answer.

The OP said :-These have been deliberately positioned to enable lewd behaviour and with the intent of Voyeurism. From the reply by the Community Manager having spoken to the wardens they have clearly not been deliberately made for the purposes of that type of behaviour. It is of course unfortunate that a more permanent repair has not been made since the problem first occured. The OP also said:- I reported to the wardens and to the CC head office. But feel that no one is taking this seriously. How did the warden respond, did the OP get the same imformation as the Community Manager but because they were putting a different interuptation on what was happening with said holes felt they were being dismissed?

The OP has said "it" has been going on for the last five years but we were there last year and the year before and I did not notice any holes, repairs or patches.

so who do we believe?

Both.  The OP is reporting hearsay.  We have no reason to disbelieve that he or she was told it had been going on for five years.  I am simply reporting my observation, or lack thereof Wink.

I agree, while I dis-believe both, is that the same?

If you are saying that you disbelieve both you are saying both are telling lies.  I take grave exception to that.

Take all the exception you want, but to dis-believe someone is not the same as saying they are telling lies, you are simply not acepting their statement for some reason, perhaps as you have no evidence to support it, it means to withold belief, they could be telling the truth or not.

It is the same as the difference between un-interested and dis-interested.
