CLOSED - Lewd behaviour Tredegar Site shower block

During a recent visit to Tredegar site, I noticed that  Holes have been drilled between the male shower cubicles. These have been deliberately positioned to enable lewd behaviour and with the intent of Voyeurism. I have since learnt that this has been an on going problem for at least five years. Don't not allow your children to go to the shower blocks on their own. I reported to the wardens and to the CC head office. But feel that no one is taking this seriously.  I,m not sure what to do next to escalate the problem ? Any suggestions?

To right, as others have said take it further. I've not come across this in the UK but recently while on one of our favourite sites in France, they have refurbed the shower blocks. They are now Unisex, now i don't have a problem with that but one day while having a shower I noticed a reflection in the mirror (it was a shower and sink cubicle) the way the door sits there is a sizable gap, through this gap you can look into the mirror and then see into the shower, luckily I was quite quick in throwing my towel over the edge of the door to block the gap. It did make me feel very uncomfortable about using that cubicle again.

On thinkig about this situation as reported by the OP. The obvious question must be, as the warden staff are  supposed to clean the showers daily,  why have they not 1 noticed the holes and 2 why have they not done something to ensure privacy. for those using the showers.

Is there something sinister going on ? .

I would hesitate to elaborate but we all read the news and what can happen in public shower blocks and lavatories.

The holes have been filled in before with a waterproof sealant last year, so it's wrong to jump to conclusions.

In addtion no complaints were raised last year either. Had there been, they would have been addressed.

I suggest you ring Head Office and ask to get in contact with the Regional Manager.

I assure you that the club would not take such a matter lightly, buy "burying their head in the sand".

Maybe the warden at the Blackpool site should go and check the toilet blocks ,rather than following dog owners round the site.......................................

I beg to differ Kubota, they constantly bury their heads, or that is the impression that is given on this forumYell

Very pleased to read this.  Let's hope there is some prompt action and response.  This often isn't the case

The Wardens at Tredegar House have informed me that they are aware of the holes referred to in this thread.  They are situated in one of the panels in one of the showers and have been there for a number of years, caused by a hole being drilled for shower fittings in the wrong place.  The holes are filled and the Wardens check them every day as part of their routine toilet cleaning duties.  Should the filling become displaced, the holes are refilled.  There have been no reported incidents over the years in regard to these holes.

If you have concerns whilst on site, please talk to the Site Staff.

Thank you

It does sound as though the OP has jumped to the wrong conclusion here but I would have thought the wardens could have explained the problem at the time.

I have been to the site as our daughter lives nearby but never used the showerblock but the wardens seemed very good so I am surprised that a problem arose.

Sounds like a new, hole free, panel/board is required then instead of continuously repairing what's already there
