You don't need to book on day one though. Or you can do it before or after work

There are two things that the other club does better than the CC and the rolling programme of bookings is one of them

You'd still be able to do all your bookings in December though. Happy

Though I presume if you want to book a popular site in June you would have to do this as soon as it became available in June the year before. Possibly while you are on tour. From our point of view December is certainly better.

Trouble is I would have to book more frequently. The reason I book all in Dec under present system is that I do not know how popular a site is. When I left booking sites until a month before a typical tour of, say, 7 sites I would find one booked up.

Not quite sure I understand your last post, Alan ( although I have just "liked" it by mistake! Laughing)  Why would you have to book more often? If, when you planned your tour and went to book in December you found a site you wanted full, it must be a popular site. Why not just do all your booking earlier, at least for those sites you think might be booked up by December?

Not saying one way is any better than the other (because we rarely book far in advance anyway) but surely you'd have just as much chance of booking a particular site with a rolling release of bookings?

Sorry Moulsey. Under the present system - no problem. If it was a rolling system I would have to keepp booking in order to ensure my tour routes sites.

It is far easier for me to have the one release date and to then book all planned tours. I appreciate that some would prefer a rolling system. I would just have to become more otganised but would find it a pita. Happy

Fair enough, Alan. Still can't see it as a major problem though. As you say, would just need a bit more organisation! Happy
