Welcome to the Caravan and Motorhome Club.

Ever since we came together as a group of outdoor enthusiasts 110 years ago, our Club has continued on a journey of discovery. It's time for us to make some changes for the better by redefining who we are to help you get the most of the great outdoors.

I’m sure you all have lots of questions, please post your feedback and queries in this thread.

What does our new logo mean? We created a video to explain how we created it:

A good point has been made. Members overwhelmingly wanted the ability to book pitch types and yet after two years trial it's been kicked into the long grass.

Could this be looked at again please?  It's quite honestly all I want from a provider of pitches to park a leisure vehicle.

Too many posts to read them all but from what I have read so far this monumental decision is about as popular as a chocolate teapot. I am wondering if the heirachy might now have second thoughts or were thinking it was April 1st

I doubt that very much, time will tell if this monumental decision is popular or not, by the membership quota.

The Club is appealing to a new breed of membership, the 'anti change' brigade will either have to get with it or ship out.

Got to keep  the tea drinkers in a job. Another example of forgetting the basics for someon's ego trip.

Hi JVB,

The change in name and logo were based on your feedback and in consultation with your representatives on the Committee. Together, we’re embarking on a journey of investment in the future of our Club.

Posted on 21/02/2017 14:57

There has been no consultation with CC Centres. None at all and all of their rebranding will need doing at a cost to themselves presumably. Am sure the investment would have been better made in other areas.

How long before it becomes the Motorhome Club?  I suppose we can always join the Caravan & Camping Club!!

The cost of this change could have been better used in reducing what are becoming penal fees for families.

You own a private business, this is supposed to be a members club.

Posted on 21/02/2017 15:02

If you think this Club is less of a business and more of a members organisation then I'm afraid you're a little deluded. Sure there is an elected committee but in real terms, this is more akin to a board of directors.

This organisation has competition and as such it needs to evolve to stay at the top. Just like any other business.

Walls ceased to exist years ago... they were sucked in by Unilever.

'Unilever Ice Cream' didn't have the same ring to it though

I agree with you. It's way behind its competitor in terms of delivery at the moment and needs to work really hard to shake off the image it has.

The problem is that being in a 'club' and paying a fairly substantial fee to access sites and services is actually really old fashioned and unappealing to my age group and younger. So there's a problem to overcome straight away. undecided
