Welcome to the Caravan and Motorhome Club.

Ever since we came together as a group of outdoor enthusiasts 110 years ago, our Club has continued on a journey of discovery. It's time for us to make some changes for the better by redefining who we are to help you get the most of the great outdoors.

I’m sure you all have lots of questions, please post your feedback and queries in this thread.

What does our new logo mean? We created a video to explain how we created it:

Very bad decision sneakily inflicted on members

Why not invest in improving club facilities before going to the expense of changing the name in order to attract more motorhomes.

1. More hard standing so caravans aren't shunted onto muddy poorly drained grass pitches in order to give preferential treatment to motorhomes.
2. Adequate drainage for grass pitches for those that prefer them.

The Caravan Club, easy to say and known by the media.  The Caravan and Motorhome Club sounds a bit lumpy.

In consultation with members?  How many members asked for this particular change?

Why not The Caravan, Motorhome, Campervan, Camping, Glamping and gingangoolygooly Club (Just to cover everything).

Or, perhaps Consignia would be a good name, the word is available, I understand.

We're sending out new stickers as we speak so expect to see yours soon smile

I will shortly qualify for one of these "significan milestone" stickers.  Can I please reserve one of the proper Caravan Club ones before they are all consigned to the bin, as it was The Caravan Club that I have been a member of for all those years.

This is still not sorted I don't want my from West Glamorgan in my profile. This is not good enough reported this on the 17th December and promised numerous times and this is the result. This is a simple thing to remove in HTML Why hasn't this been done.? As for the new logo totally all the wrong colors this website is going from bad to worse.

Total waste of time and money. I seriously doubt if it's worth continuing as a member of a club that doesn't consult its members on something so fundamental. Shame on you.

Personally I think it is a great shame that the 110 year old symbol ' The Red Pennant ' has been dropped from the new logo, the flag with the CC in a horseshoe could have had an M incorporated into it and thereby show the heritage of this long running members club. I'm afraid this squiggle does nothing to show any history for me!

Well done to the club for trying to develop and modernise. As the number of motorhome owners continues to increase year on year it seems logical to take this step. The new name better reflects the changing proportion of members who have a motorhome rather than a caravan. "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got".

Why was there no general consultation with the members whose money is being spent on this.  I would be interested to know the cost (current and future) which has been spent or budgeted.

I'm pleased to see the Caravan and Motorhome Club (which surely should be shortened to CMC) are moving with the times and re-branding. I have for a long time thought that there was way too much emphasis on just caravans in the monthly magazine, rather than the balanced reporting/reviews which should now circulate from your magazine.

I can't say I'm overwhelmed by the new logo though as the colours are dull and there is no presence of the colour green to show our interaction and enjoyment with nature!

That's my four penn'th. Good Luck to the new CMC.
