Now there's a New Zealand tour up for grabs. Where to enter?

The NZ competition was published, with submission instructions in the paper version of the CC Mag which was posted through your door. Full details including submission instructions have been provided in CT. Both of these information streams were published before the CC Facebook presence started. Sorry

Is it only possible to enter on Facebook JayEss?

If so then this is getting serious and I will be writing to the club.

You didn't ever need Facebook to enter.

They are separate competitions, Jenny. See Rochelle's posts.

Yes I've read through the entire thread now, including Rochelle's post, and it's still left me slightly confused. The original CC Mag entry required a 500 word submission as to why you should be the winner, along with a requirement that you commit to a blog and photographs and an article for publication  at the end of the tour. Entries were required by Wednesday last week. The FB route doesn't appear to have a cut off date or an entry criteria, nor do there seem to be any commitments required from the winner - which seems strange but does support the 2nd competition explanation. I might guess that the CC has committed to flights, hotels, camper vans etc for paying customers who haven't 100% materialised, hence a quick giveaway. In any case, FB or CT readers who are aware of the 2nd opportunity (assuming that it truly is) have only to comment "a Fab trip" in order to be in with a chance of winning a £10,000 holiday. I think! If so, and you have the dates available, then why not? I guess it's a bit like giving away  unsold beer at the end of a rally. Either that or tip it down a drain, there's no time for anything more elaborate.

I've delved deeper and there is a second cut off date, it's August 29th. Sorry for any misinformation previously posted. If you can make the dates then it appears to be a bit of a gift horse to me. Oh! hang on, is that a bit of decay in the third molar on the right, Naaah who wants a free holiday, or a horse.

Yes I saw that but thought CT members might like to be aware of a second chance to win something through a Facebook competition.

Onviously you are now aware of this second 'opportunity' yourself Wink

Thanks JayEss, your prompt made me look further. As you may have guessed I'm not a regular user of Facebook. I have read though, that posting about being on holiday increases your chances of a burglary. I wonder if there are statistics to back that up.

highly unlikely Jenny. Why let statistics spoil a good story? Happy

Only a problem if you give too much detail of where you actually live I would say.

Somebody on another forum had an image of his caravan coupled up and parked outside his home on his avatar. In response to another poster having a problem he responded by saying that he must live nearby as he was on such a close and send a pm if they needed help. I had no idea where he lived but within 5 mins I had searched on google earth for roads with that name and streetview identified it was his house. I sent him a pm to edit. He had not realised how much info he had given until shown.

A friend of mine was daft enough to post her home forum for contact on a family tree type site. I was able, as a result, to give her details of where both her daughter and son lived, her mothers maiden name, her D.O.B.
