We’d like to invite you to our brand new Facebook page – which is live today – a special preview for Club Together members. We will be using Facebook to spread the word about The Club, share news, offers advice and inspiration; it joins our other channels in offering you more choice in how you connect with The Club.

We want you to join our ever-growing community, so we’re offering an exclusive. We are giving away 20 pairs of site night vouchers for this week only. All you need to do is find our Club Together milestone on our Facebook timeline and comment with #sitenightvoucher.

Please remember that Facebook is a public forum, we want to showcase the best of The Club and our members, so don’t forget to check out our House Rules.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on our new social media channels, please comment on this thread and let us know what you think.

Prize draw closes at midnight on 13 August; visit Facebook for full terms and conditions.

Find us on >>> Facebook <<< today and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram @thecaravanclub

The way i see it is ,the CC are having a competition on Facebook ,i dont use Facebook, thats my loss.........

+1

It is not really a lot different to other businesses that offer advantages for new customers only. It is just a fact of modern marketing life. I have no intention of using Facebook, but a lot of CC members probably do. In the scheme of things it is not unreasonable of the club to encourage this minority, or possibly majority.

May I just ask those users of FB who say that they use it to keep in touch with 'friends'.......are you aware of such things as e-mails, text messages, telephones......and letters? Oh, and as a last resort, are you aware that you could actually meet some real people?

What makes you think they aren't real people that I keep in touch with?

i use Facebook messenger. Why is email or text better and why use the phone when calling through messenger is free

Because you don't have to log onto anything to use email or texts, or to check whether you've received a message.

Plus, you don't have FB harvesting your personal details......

Write your comments here...so last week, we had a bbq,15 friends, everyone invited by fb msg, everyone replied, everone saw everyone else's reply, discussed who might bring things along, and what, and what time they might arrive... Of course I could have done it bt 15 texts or 15 emails or 15 letters.... Are you serious? ;-)

No, just one email.

You can have multiple recipients and they can copy replies to multiple recipients, you know.....

Facebook can harvest what it likes as far as I'm concerned. Insurance comparison sites are more of a nuisance.

email is for work. So last century for communications Wink
