We’d like to invite you to our brand new Facebook page – which is live today – a special preview for Club Together members. We will be using Facebook to spread the word about The Club, share news, offers advice and inspiration; it joins our other channels in offering you more choice in how you connect with The Club.

We want you to join our ever-growing community, so we’re offering an exclusive. We are giving away 20 pairs of site night vouchers for this week only. All you need to do is find our Club Together milestone on our Facebook timeline and comment with #sitenightvoucher.

Please remember that Facebook is a public forum, we want to showcase the best of The Club and our members, so don’t forget to check out our House Rules.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on our new social media channels, please comment on this thread and let us know what you think.

Prize draw closes at midnight on 13 August; visit Facebook for full terms and conditions.

Find us on >>> Facebook <<< today and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram @thecaravanclub

I too would ideally like a reply but Rochelle cannot really be expected to come on here and say the Marketing Manager has goofed.

But he /she has, big time.

I've thought of a solution, Fysh. Let everyone have two chances of winning. People can enter twice by whatever means and then it becomes fair.

PS. Did you notice that if a non-member wins they also get a year's membership thrown in as part of the prize?

I would rather there was a senior management meeting that recognised they will lose more members than they will gain alienating customers by treating them unequally and unfairly.

Yup, but that might be to comply with the various regulations surrounding competitions.

That's uncalled for, Husky!

It's not 'me', any debate (not squabble) is on behalf of all of us.

I don't think they should run competitions on Facebook as they changed the terms during this one and announced winners two days before the end date. Also appear to have awarded a prize to one person on the wrong post.

It's a bit like a primary school sports day only not as well organised.

I've stopped following the page now.

Well I must admit JayEss it's not going anywhere if HD's views are shared by many others

If people think it's about competition rules then wow!

Some people are concerned about fairness and equality fysh and others are not.

I think all comps should be open to all members but also that they should stick to the rules that they themselves set.

It's not about competitions HD, its about the club beginning a process that could eventually (if not nipped in the bud) end up with members feeling they must join Facebook in order to fully partake in the club.

It's competitions and some special offers now but how would you feel if sometime in the future Facebook members were offered a free night on a club site if they "liked"  something on Facebook?  Would that be fair? How about priority booking a day earlier in December if you book through Facebook? I will stop there in case somebody at EG thinks "thats a good idea".

Lets send the signal now in no uncertain terms that we want a level playing field for ALL members.
