We’d like to invite you to our brand new Facebook page – which is live today – a special preview for Club Together members. We will be using Facebook to spread the word about The Club, share news, offers advice and inspiration; it joins our other channels in offering you more choice in how you connect with The Club.

We want you to join our ever-growing community, so we’re offering an exclusive. We are giving away 20 pairs of site night vouchers for this week only. All you need to do is find our Club Together milestone on our Facebook timeline and comment with #sitenightvoucher.

Please remember that Facebook is a public forum, we want to showcase the best of The Club and our members, so don’t forget to check out our House Rules.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on our new social media channels, please comment on this thread and let us know what you think.

Prize draw closes at midnight on 13 August; visit Facebook for full terms and conditions.

Find us on >>> Facebook <<< today and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram @thecaravanclub

People give away a tremendous amount of information and then say it doesn't matter. If you find the same person on more than one forum it's often possible to piece together their identity and address if you can be bothered.

The opposite of that is people pretending to be something they're not which is equally disconcerting. Social media is ok on a trivial level. The FB comp is open to anyone from anywhere, membership fees paid if you're not in the CC. If you have the time and inclination it's always worth a go?

So what is the position with the sensible people who do not want to have personal information leaked all over the Internet and refuse to use Facebook and similar?  Are we now to be denied information?  I would presume so.

Or do I have to create a completely false personna just to access Facebook so I can keep informed about the activities of a Club of which I pay to be a member?  Either way - another poor show.
