2015 Holiday

This is a lovely site with helpful staff and excellent facilities.  The staff speak excellent English but are also patient and understanding when you try and communicate in their own language. We stayed in early June and found the site quite and peaceful. As expected the site is well maintained and the shower blocks are kept clean. I expect it would be a popular destination with families and become busy in the holiday periods. The lake is just outside the camp site, with clean beaches and well-maintained picnic areas. You can have a very pleasant stroll along the promenade which offers beautiful views across the lake. There are a few restaurants on the promenade with some of them offering live music. Troyes is the largest town which is only 30mins away by car and has ample parking at a very reasonable cost. You can easily explore Troyes on foot using the tourist information walking tour. We had a very enjoyable relaxing holiday here. It's a good site for either a short or an extended holiday.

Excellent Location

Arrived at the site on 20th June. Site is very clean indeed and has very good facilities, all as aid kept very clean and organised. The pitches are almost flat. Bring along your blocks as you will need them. Not many of the pitches are grassed, so bring good strong steel pegs and be ready to hammer them in for ages. Its worth it. The site although large is fairly quiet as long as you are out of season. We would think that in high season it would be very noisey indeed, bordering on madness with all the kids that would love this area. All pitches are well shaded and all have water close and there are two large toilet and shower blocks in easy reach. The SP oitches that we had are excellent with taps with high water pressure, drainage and good steady 10 amps of power. All pitches have segregated hedges and are fairly private. It has a fantastic restaurant for the usual fast food and a little shop that you cab get the essentials. Major shops are some distance away. The area however is the big winner. The lake is FANTASTIC...no other word for it. What a location. Troyes is half an hour away and many other places of interest not to mention the local cheese...CHAOURCE....Try it !!! mmmmm! All in all we would recommend this site for up to a week stop. Try to get a pitch behind and to the left of the main building if you crave quiet and perhaps come at th end of June or very earley July to avoid the noise. Last thing with one stop it took us four and a half hours drive. Enjoy!!!

An Easy To Get To Lovely Site - Looking To Rebook For 2016

A really good site, a friendly & helpful welcome, they also booked the Vet appointment for our dogs. The shop on site is basic but you can pre order your  next day bread requirements & there are also larger supermarkets close by (Leclerc is great you'll pass it on the left as you enter Lausigny S/Barse assuming you've left the A26). The outdoor pool area is clean with a separate water slide pool, a couple of small paddling pools (.5m & 1m deep). Toilets & Shower block extremely clean. The lake is fab, shallow & clean too. It's not over commercialised so don't expect parades of bars & cafes. The on site bar/restaurant is good & reasonably priced. Troyes is a must for a visit. We stayed for 6 nights in May & we'd like to return & explore further next year.

Super site - we will return!

We are now in our third year of motorhoming. We are both retired and have never done this before. Our arena of interest and travel has been France and Spain. We have encountered one or two sites in France who's cleaning and toilet amenities are a disgrace. THIS site is superb! Good and clean with polite staff and a host of amenities. We cannot fault it and will always return if it is in striking distance of our final destination. I suggest that the folk who complain about 'twigs' falling on them at night book into a hotel next time.WELL DONE LAC D'ORIENT - WE WILL BE BACK!!
