In over 30 years of caravanning this is quite simply the best site we have visited.
I'm not sure I understand previous reviews as arriving was very simple 3-4 mins off N176. The site restuarant is superb albeit very busy, and the toilet block is spacious, modern and cleaned daily. The site itself is beautiful with well cared for flower beds. The facilities are excellent, a shop with fresh bread, pool, games room and free wi-fi, what more could you want. Although many pitches are sloping there are all well defined with hedging. Lastly, the multi-lingual staff we warm and friendly and the whole site had a very relaxed feeling.
Dare I say the Caravan Club sites could learn a thing or two from a site like this!!
We stopped here in the beginning of July 2015 as a party of 2 motor homes (first time in France) and were made up to enjoy a well presented campsite with ample pitch space although on the lower level we needed good levelling chocks-no problems whatsoever here, although it's a 20 minute walk into Dinan town-we decided to eat in the camp restruant and reception told us that last orders was around 10 pm-we arrived at 9 pm only to be told the kitchens had closed! As it was our wedding anniversary it was a little disappointing but in true motor homer style we all lashed up a really good meal and had plenty of fine cheap wine to enjoy the night with!
An excellent site but the route getting there takes you through the centre of Dinan-check your map and go a bit further to get there via Taden.
We liked it here, but if you want a good night out with a range of restruants you'll have to go inton Dinan-well worth it.
Our two night stop-over at this site was really enjoyable. The new shower & toilet block were the best we have seen. The pitches and grounds were immaculately maintained.
Two important points to remember for future campers :-
1.to locate the road direction signs from the south are not accurate;
2.those with satellite television systems need to check with campsite staff which pitches receive a good TV signal
Our first visit to France and we were not disappointed. The site is in a fabulous location. It is a 15 minute river walk into the port of Dinan with it's lovely restaurants etc. and a further 15 minutes into Dinan town itself with the lovely markets and shops. The facilities on site are good - reception, swimming pool, wifi and sports. However, the toilet and shower blocks leave a lot to be desired. The showers were always full with hair and grass cuttings. The toilets were always messy and dirty. Even the hand dryer was dirty in the bottom and was never clean for the period we were there. This may say more about the visitors than the staff!!!!! Would we recommend this site, DEFINATELY, and can't wait to go back.
Stayed at this site at the beginning of June 2015 and the site was very quiet for the first week. More caravans arrived in the second week but was still quiet compared to some sites we have stayed in. The facilities are good the reception team were very polite and informative. The shower block was clean and adequate, the cleaning took place between 0700 and 0830 so plan your visit. The plots vary in shape and size so if you have a large unit state this at time of booking as some are quite small.
The restaurant is reasonably priced and the staff are friendly however the mini mart really is mini and quite bare so advise to stock up at one of the many local supermarkets in Dinan.
The area is very pretty and the port of Dinan is well worth parking up and exploring.
This site is very popular with campers from the Channel Islands who store their units at the local storage facility and have them sited when required.
Overall this is a well placed site in a lovely area of France close to St Malo.
