More of a holiday camp than touring site. Also items on one's pitch can disappear unexpectantly.

We stayed for 2 nights. The facilities were clean but more limited in facilities (eg. one soap dispenser in the washrooms) compared to our previous 4 sites, which were each much more suited to caravan and motorhome travellers. Our impression was that the site clearly caters more for the groups using the restaurant and swimming pool whilst residing in the chalets (paying more?). Disappointingly, items that we had left on our pitch whilst we were off site disappeared by the time we returned. The response when we enquired was "this can happen".

Excellent site

What a superb site! Ideally situated for cycling and walking, and it's an easy cycle ride/drive to the bulb fields. Lovely villages nearby and lots of windmills! The site itself is excellent - scrupulously clean facilities and hot showers. Swimming pools, and both indoor and outdoor play areas for children. The on site shop is a bonus - selling just about everything you could need with fresh bread etc available in the morning. The cafe and restaurant were also very good. The staff on reception were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. We will definitely visit this site again and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Lovely Family Run site Shame about the planes!

Stayed here for a week on the Club's Dutch Bulb Fields and More Tour from April 19th which is a great tour! The site is an excellent one run by the third generation of the same family. The "new" reception area, shop and restaurant was rebuilt three years ago. There is a small shop serving fresh rolls every morning and lots of other essentials and gifts, open until 6.30pm. The pitches are grass and in groups of four. Some are closer than we are used to in the UK. The facilities blocks are spotless. The ladies only had three showers - old fashioned push button type - but it was never a problem. Dish washing located at the same place. Various water points and chemical disposal. The motor home drive-over grey waste disposal and water tap is located across the road from the main entrance on an "extra" area of the campsite. There is an indoor swimming pool, fishing lake and children's playground. Great area for cycling but if not there is a bus stop within 15 mins walk to Leiden which is worth a visit. From there you can get the train to Amsterdam which we also did. The Keukenhof Gardens are a short drive away, (although we went by coach with the tour) are an absolute must for the incredible display of tulips - for only 9 weeks! The main reception building also houses a takeaway and an "eat in" snack bar serving roughly the same menu. There is also an A La Carte restaurant open Thursday to Sunday but we did not consider it good value for money. There is unfortunately one negative to this site that it is directly under the landing flight path for Schiphol airport and can be incredibly noisy. The planes continue quite late into the night and resume around 5.30am. Though we were disturbed once at 3.30am! It is such a shame, because this is such a lovely family run site and Pim and his sister Penny and staff are so friendly and do a fantastic job.

Nice site

We stayed for 3 nights in our camper in April mainly to visit the bulbfields and Keukenhof. Best to buy tickets from site as they are even cheaper than online! Unusual location as seems in the middle of a housing estate and was being improved when we were there. Be nice when its finished. Pitch adequate size for our camper. Nice indoor pool on site too . Took bus to Leiden which was worth a visit. Beware when walking as cyclists seem to take priority!

Not the best if you have a motor home

Lovely site and staff. My only down side to our holiday is the site is difficult to get about if you don't have your car with you as beach was half hour bicycle ride through a busy industrial estate and if we were to catch the bus to Leiden it is €12 one way for a family of 3. Was raining heavy one evening so we got a taxi back from Leiden at the cost of €21. Sorry but I didn't think it was very motor home friendly 😔

Our introduction to the Netherlands

Just returned from Spending 3 weeks in the Netherlands, first 11 nights on this site. This is a busy family oriented site (July / August). The staff were helpful and friendly and the site was clean and well laid out. Very close to several towns and easy access to cycle paths and local beaches. There was some aircraft noise but not that disturbing and should not stop people coming to this lovely site.

Just returned

Good location staff very helpful food in restaurant was excellent. What lets this site down is the pitches not well kept they e not looked after and the staff don't police the site very well open fires and in our case ball games being played near our and out here motorhomes . They have a footballing feild and a large play area available so there's no reason for ball games being played near very exspensive units .

Nice, peaceful, friendly site

We stayed on this site for 2 nights in June as part of our first European trip in our motorhome. Nice pitches in blocks of four sheltered by tall hedges. Very friendly staff and quirky bar and snack bar - sampled beer and chips which were both very good. The restaurant is only open Thursday to Sunday so can't comment on it. Facilities very good and showers free - brownie points there! The weather was pretty bad when we were there with thunderstorms so weren't able to get about so much. Visited Leiden which is a lovely town with brilliant P&R at Hegwag. Loads of room for motorhome and €5 includes a free minibus into the centre, when you want to come back, you phone them, tell them what street you are on and they come and pick you up all inclusive.

Ideal site for families

It is a large site which caters for families, but is kept very tidy. That facilities are excellent and all staff very helpful. We used it purposely to visit Keukehof Gardens as they are not far from the site. My husband was able to fish in the lake on site, admittedly not a huge lake, but he caught his first Dutch carp. And although the children were on holiday and there were lots of families, the children had plenty of play areas and entertainment and they did not spoil our enjoyment of the site.

Short stay of one week late April the main object to visit the Tulip fields.

WE were surprised to find the site very busy, I suspect that it was half term and the children were enjoying their break. We were given a s.p. pitch which was very private although backing onto the games area and swimming pool. Disco music was played three times daily, I could have done without it but the children loved it. The restaurant was first class good food and attentive staff also very busy. We found plenty to do within a short drive. The tulip fields at Keukenhof about 3o minuets away were superb, we took the boat trip around the surrounding area and were informed of the history of this massive industry. The seaside was not far away and looked great had the sun been shinning with sandy beaches. Amsterdam of course is always worth at least a day visit, there is plenty to do all round. My only minor criticism would be that the approach to the site is very narrow and limited as is the reception area. But Yes we came away with fond memories.
