Lovely place

We stayed here twice, 2 nights each, travelling, but will stay again for longer. It was off peak (September) so the site was quieter than usual I suspect. Positives - lovely little historic town nearby, gorgeous area near the Seine with lots of cycle routes. Individual hedged pitches most with own water and drainage. Helpful hosts, handy small shop but also one in the town. Nearby restaurants. Negatives - only small - shower cubicles difficult to close in the ladies, and the cut off time for the water was about 7 seconds, so constantly repressing the button!

A quiet and well kept site

Stayed here twice in September 2015, once on the way south and once on the way home.  Well placed for a stopover but good for a longer break.  Madame very helpful and site very clean with good facilities.  Would like to go back in the future.

An excellent friendly site.

We spent 7 nights at the site. It was clean and well maintained. Our dog was made very welcome and Madame booked the necessary vet appt. for us for our return. Very friendly very helpful and a lovely area. We would recommend and have done already to friends.

Camping de la Foret

Exceptionally peaceful and well maintained site. Incredibly clean toilet/washing facilities. Warm welcome given by the owners, who were most accommodating. We had an electrical fault on our campervan whilst there and the owners could not have been more helpful - contacting a local garage and driving me there to order the car parts required. Nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely return and spend longer there in what is a most interesting region in France. Excellent!

Enjoyable week.

Spent 7 nights here in August. Found the owners to be friendly and helpful, Madame telephoned the Vets in Duclair to make an appointment on our behalf. Our pitch was large and level although the electric hookup was on an adjacent pitch. We appreciated the privacy afforded by the hedging. Good bar and snack bar which does a small selection of nice pizzas. The site has  a well stocked shop and bread/croissants can be ordered for the following day. Jumieges is lovely with restaurants and a creperie where we had a nice meal. The 5th Century Abbey ruins are worth a visit. The River Seine is 20 Mins walk away where we had a nice evening meal at the Auberge du Bac overlooking the Seine. The small car ferries across the Seine are free. The Pegasus Bridge Museum is about an hours drive away and is worth a visit. The site is generally peaceful and quiet although this was spoilt on occasion by some Brits using the sit as a stopover packing up noisily early in the morning. We would definitely use this site again.

Not too welcoming

Stayed here twice for one night each time on our way to SW France and on way back to Tunnel. First visit staff ok, very good English, but felt as if we were a bit of an inconvenience and felt this even more on our second visit.  Plots seemed small and gloomy due to high hedges between plots and, on our 2nd visit we had to thread our electric cable through a hedge and over an occupied site.  On our second visit, we didn't realise we had left our grey water waste tap open after leaving our previous site. One of the wardens (owners?) spotted this and quite rightly brought it to our attention but there was little good grace in the way this was imparted to us despite our apologies. We will not visit again.

Rude owners be carfull

I have been camping to France for 4 years and visited well over 20 sites some have some experience of French sites. This site is in a very pictures location and in walking distance of the town. The locale town has a Abbey which has great English/French history and the guide is in English. If you are traveling by Sat Nav do not use the Ferry as the Vehicle limit is 3T. This site is good but the owners are Rude and disrespectful. The Man was shouting at my little boy for leaving his flipflops on in the pool which he did not realize. But the Man kept shouting and going on till my boy was in tears. The pool is dirty and weed-bird pool over the floor where you have to walk bear foot. We tried to leave early at 7:30. We arrived at the gate a 7:25 to again be abused by the owner for being too early. He was warned the night before but just grunts at you. i would not recommend this site due to the owners. However if this changes then its a great site for the location. If this was an English owner I would have gladly had a argument with this owner for his treatment to by children. Be warned not a nice reception, check out some of the comments on trip advice who say the same Also the showers are rubbish, cold and only a drizzle so not worth using. Owner also said we will be charged more than other people on site per night due to booking through the Caravan club ??????

Good quality site

Good location for site, walking distance of charming village of Jumieges. Lovely cafes and ruined Abbey, which is a must see. Nearby town of Duclair is a nice town with a typical French town square. Well run site with friendly owners, agree with others that the 6 foot high 3 sided hedging is a bit claustrophobic, and discourages chatting to neighbours. Some pitches a bit small (width of cvan and awning), and our grass pitch had very little grass left (we stayed 2nd half of Aug) Indoor pool, just a pool without a slide, unsupervised so any serious swimming not possible. Rouen is half hour drive, we did a day to Paris on train from Rouen. Noise from neighbouring pitches quite loud, as we had pitches on 3 sides. One toilet block looked very new and smart, although timers on showers were short. Stayed for 7 nights, the 2nd week of our France holiday, and despite these minor issues would recommend to others.

One nighter

After our ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe we wanted a 1 night stop over to re charge our batteries. Camping La Foret was easy to find in a lovely village about an hours drive from the port. The staff were very welcoming and spoke exceptional English (thankfully). The facilities were very clean and modern although the shower timer was very short. The pitches have plenty of room if anything the hedges around the pitches are quite tall and thick which and blocked out the sun and took away the social interaction with the neighbouring campers. A lovely site for families will probably use again as a stop over from/back to the ferry port.
