Overnight at Gandespette

Had an overnight night stop here on way home in August. A friendly and engaging welcome-staff helpful and informative. Setting up our van was easy and free of complications. Didn't use restaurant but bar was great. Had a lovely swim. Clearly a great place for kids although we didn't bring any!!! Easy journey to ferry port early morning - thank you.

Great site / ideal stop off

Used this site as a stop off on the way home, close to the ports. Nice site with good size pitches. Large park that the kids enjoyed. Supermarket with a fuel station located close to the site. Showers were clean but no hot water when we used them. Had a very good meal at the restaurant, will use this site again.

Great location

We stayed here for 5 nights as our first stop to break up our drive to our second stop. Fantastic and easy location to get to only 30 min drive from calais. Great pitches nice swimming pool football pitch, tennis court mini outside gym and lovely bar and restaurant. Restaurant was packed every night. We will use this little gem time and time again now that we know where it is can not recommend enough.

Superb pre/after crossing break

The site is really easy to find; reception friendly and helpful; lots to see in the area; toilets/showers clean and good. Very good restuarants locally (Try Houlle) - a really good one - local specialities available.

2016 Holiday

What a mistake we had only booked one night, and we should have stayed longer, great facilities at this site. Enjoyed sitting on the terrace having a pleasant drink after a long drive. Next year we will stay for three or four nights to explore the area, as we are guilty of not stopping in this part of France.

more planning needed

We need to plan a our stops with more thought , one of the best sites we have stayed at for a while, and we only had one night before we had to head for the ferry.

Huge Mistake!!

That mistake being that we stayed here for only one night when we arrived in France and one night before we left. An absolute peach of a site with large pitches, albeit levelling blocks needed on some. Clean new facilities, excellent restaurant, great pool, lovely area with much to do. The plan next year is to stay here longer.

Great position

We have stayed on this site many times on our way home. The pitches in the R section are roomy and well spaced. The facilities are good and the reception staff are friendly. The restaurant can be busy but the staff are helpful and service is good.  La Coupole and Blockhaus at Eperlecques, where the V1 and V2 were built and launched are well worth a visit, and supermarkets are close by. It is 21 miles from Eurotunnel, and English speaking vets are nearby.  This trip we stayed three nights, and will stay again next visit to France.

Brilliant site near ferries, vets and shops

We have stayed here a number of times over the last 10 to years. There is always a warm welcome. The facilities are clean and good with plenty of hot water toilets. Brilliant site for children - bouncy Castle, slides, swimming pools, basketball, table tennis and room to ride bikes to name just a few. Close to WW2 missile sites, La Cupola and The Block ouse at Eperleques. If you have pets there is a vets just down the road and I you want fuel or shopping, there's a supermarket only 3/4 of a mile away. Calais and City Europe is just 20 minutes and the ferries at both Calais and Dunkirk are just 25 minutes drive. If you don't fancy voting, there is a restaurant and bar on site.
