Always features at the beginning and end of our French holiday as a stopover being an easy distance from the ferry terminal and handy for the autoroute. The team are really welcoming and helpfull. For the first time on our way south the meal at the restaurant fell short on quality with the entrecôte steak being more gristle than meat! All was redeemed on way home with a great beef casserole and more than generous bowl of frites!
2 night stay on route home
restaurant always excellent very helpful our pitch not so good very muddy and slopping very noisy seemed to be some machinery going on after 10.0 clock pm.sounded like farm machinery?
otherwise a good stop over prior to catching the ferry at dunkirk.
Great stopover for or from Calais
Stopped over on first night, last weekend in August. Despite the timing, lots o f family activity going on at pool etc, although our pitch itself was nice and quiet.
There was a newly built shower block near us which was top notch, bread delivery in morning, metal grid pich with grass inlaid, altogether very good.
Great site, more info.
Suitable for Twin axel, no trouble with access to pitches. Some of the pitches are uneven and chocks may be needed. Some of the site has European adaptors and some has the British Standard. It wasn't until we had pitched that we plugged the electrics in then realised. (Not a big deal as we had an EU Adaptor) Local Carrefour, left out of site about a 5 min drive away. Definitely going back!
2 Night Stop before taking Tunnel home
Stayed 2 nights after 2 week holiday in France. Lovely presented site, nice roomy pitches but some have a bit of a slope. As only a short stay, didn't use many of the facilities but everything there if needed. Restaurant very busy, food nice and staff efficient altho' couple of the team a bit reserved.
No children with us but there appeared to be plenty to keep children occupied.
Would stay here again to break up journey.
fab, well maintained, friendly and safe site ideal for calais
we have used this site two years in a row, it is close to calais so we used it for a chill out for a couple of nights after a long drive to dover. there are no barriers so you can arrive and leave the site whatever times you are sailing. the staff are friendly, the site is clean and quiet. we used the pool, take away and play sites...all fab! highly recommended!

More than a stop-over
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this site, disappointed only because we couldn't stay longer than the one night.
The staff were efficient and friendly and the restaurant meal we had in the evening was superb.
Will stay for longer next time!

Much more than a stopover site
Like many others we used the site as a stopover but it's got much more to offer. Nice relaxed feel to the site, great pitch for our motorhome and excellent facilities. The bar terrace catches the sun and is a nice place to relax at the end of the day. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the take away pizzas and chips were good. Convenient for Calais or Dunkirk, and a short drive or cycle to the Supermarket (turn left from site), this is a great place to stay.
Wish we could stay longer.............
Stayed here sun 9/8/15 1 night and sun 16/8/15 1 night. Wardens seem to group UK campers in one particularly nice part of the site - maybe they are CC members??? Sloping pitches so pack your levelling ramps - not too bad but you will need your ramps. Grassy sunny pitches, nice size with water and waste disposal near pitches. Wash block very clean and nice to use. Usual gents urinals outside plus 'sit-down' loos with no seats but at least there is toilet paper (never a certain in France). There is a convenient shop, swimming pool and sunbathing area, tennis courts, football/basketball court, table tennis, boules and even a bar. We did not use any of those facilities because we were late arriving and early leaving both times but they were very popular with a lot of campers. There is a Carrefour supermarket about 5 mins down the road (signposted from the site) which has a good range of food and fuel by self-serve card only payment (24/7). Supermarket opens at 9am and shuts late. We used the site as a stopover to and from Germany (Rudesheim-am Rhine) and found the location very convenient. But we believe it is worth more than the 1 night wonders we have used it for. One couple (from Scotland I think with two lovely small brown dogs) were there when we arrived first day, and were still there when we returned. I must say thank you to them for enduring my 16 year old noisy sons attention with grace and smiles - no mean feat! They were having a great time and proves we under used the site - it is perfect for a full blown north of France holiday. It seems whatever you want from your holiday - a stopover to travel further afield, or a base to explore the area around the northern region of France of a first trip to Europe without a monster drive "on the right" this site is brilliant. Visit it and enjoy it! Just remember to go slow (20mph) on your final approach - if you are not careful you will sail past the entrance which is a bit concealed until you are right on top of it. We would happily return here again and hope you read this and go for it!!
Stop over but good for more
On way back to the tunnel so only stayed one night. Site has large reception with info on the area, small bar/cafe, lots of activities including tennis, two pools, table tennis, gym equipment (outdoors).
Pitches large and clean with water nearby.
Good access from surrounding M'ways and only 20 miles from the tunnel.
Would stay again
