Wonderful - we will return!
After 2 years trying to get a pitch at Rowntree Park we were finally successful and visited the site earlier this week (October). We now understand why it is so difficult to find a vacancy!! The site is an easy walk to visit wonderful York and the location next to the river is just perfect. On site the the facilities were spotlessly clean (as has been our experience with all C/C sites). The wardens were friendly and helpful and a special mention to Janet who greeted us on our arrival with a cheery smile and lots of useful tips. We will definitely be back .... just hoping we can get a pitch in 2016.

Enjoyment
Well .there so much to say about this site .
It's easy to get to..it's always buzzing ..
It's so near to the centre .
There are great cycle routes .
We have been 3 times this year .we are back again in December for xmass shopping .the wardens are very helpfull .they keep the site clean and the toilet and shower Block is spotless .. Keep up the good work .see you all in December

This site is our absolute favourite CC site...and the wardens are the icing on the cake.... My cat went missing and got stuck in the dense hedgerow. I was besides myself but Janet and Carl walked round the site with us looking for him out of their time.....What a fantastic couple they are... The site is spotless and tidy all the time.... Credit to all of them.....

Fabulous from the start. Wardens are extremely friendly and helpful. Pitches are a great size. Site is immaculate. The choice of restaurants just out the back gate is amazing. The Indian restaurant was amazing. First class site in an ideal location. Well worth a visit.
Fantastic Location
Oct 4-7 2015.
Having arrived in the preferred time zone, and I now fully understand why, we were amazed at the efficiency of the wardens in dealing with the "rush hour" of caravans arriving at the same time, dealing with 2 arrivals simultaneously and we were thro looking for our pitch in 2 mins. The site's location is utterly fantastic, with everything you could wish for with in a short walk. Only 2 small non-positives. (i) no doggie bins on site or by entrances (ii) not enough grass, felt we were in a car park. But we WILL return.

Wonderful site.
We had to book months in advance to get a pitch here,and after staying here,I can see why! Great location,very clean,and great wardens! The only improvement I could suggest, would be water taps at the pitches .
Great site,as soon as I have holiday dates,I will be booking again.!!!!

Booking in on arrival
Overall a great stay at Rowntree Park.
Only minor niggle was that it seems to take both receptionists to book one member in on arrival.
Not only does this slow the process down at peak times it confuses members when they arrive and see one receptionist apparently dealing with the first person only to be told on approaching the second receptionist that they are both dealing with him ??
It seems an unnecessarily convoluted way of doing business, and leaves a poor impression of customer service.
Other than that a, a well run site.

Great site
Just had another fantastic 5 night stay at Rowntree Park, wardens are a credit to the Caravan Club, well managed site within walking distance of all the attractions. Had a great day at the races, walked there in 20 mins from the site. Some improvement work taking place at the moment, a little noisy at times but it's all for the good of members who will benefit from the improvements.

pitch finding
as all the keys are hanging in reception surely new arrivals should be told which pitches are available instead of driving round and round to find one. apart from that very well run site
