Big site, bit cramped and outdated but would return.
This site is bound to be popular with its location being so close to York but it does feel a bit cramped. There was very few pitches to choose from when we arrived and we ended up shuffling the van into a spot behind other vans.
The bathroom facilities are a little dated as previously mentioned in other reviews but were spotlessly clean. Not quite what were used to with CC sites.
Having said that, we would certainly use the site again. The supermarkets/ retail area is about 1.5 miles away and also has a park and ride to the centre of York.
The site is very level and so are the pitches, mostly hard-standing with some grass.
The childrens play area is excellent and has a small sports field behind it.
As always, the wardens are very helpful and friendly. There were quite a few comments about poor wifi in the visitor book, but we never used it so cant comment further.
Although this site has some minor niggles, the positives far outweigh the negatives and we would certainly return.
