Great visit, thanks..

Hi, we stayed at this site 19- 22 June. A little uncertain at first on the approach to the site as the sat nav was directing is towards a no through road from an island but a phone call later to the site confirmed the sat nav was correct and it was the local council preventing signs being erected that was the issue. The site is lovely, spacious, loads of play space for children. The tree contractors were on site but not an issue. To visit York by foot and public transport not a problem at all, ask at reception for directions but 20 minute walk takes you to the us stop at Hope GRove Moorlyn where you can get the 840,843 or 845 for £6.00 return. Would certainly recommend and return if in the area. Nearest gym if that's for you is Ebor fitness via payasugym.com. Functional but does the job.

First time break

Excellent experience, the wardens couldn't have been more helpful. Great facilities and great info on the local attractions. Nice and quiet location although necessary tree trimming was being carried out when we were there they started work at a reasonable time and had left by late afternoon so didn't disturb the evening. Would recommend to all and would stay again

Great Location

This site is in a great location and easy to get too , but as mentioned before the last island can be confusing due to traffic lights.Wardens were very friendly and kept the site in tip top condition. The Park and Ride at Monks Cross is only five minutes by car and a very cheap way to get in to York, if you happen to have a bus pass , you will also find the shops at Monks Cross. Will return to this site

Family half term break

We stayed in May half term. Great campsite. Our children made good friends. Excellent facilities. Aldi, Sainsbury's very near by, easy to get to, quick to get to many attractions out of York e.g. Howards Castle. We will be back

Lovely clean site

Stayed here for the weekend and it's a lovely site. The wardens are friendly and the pitches and facilities very clean. Close to lots of shopping and places to eat. Great play area for the kids too. We took a taxi into York city centre and it cost £9 each way. There is a bus stop just outside site at much cheaper price but only runs every 2 hrs which is fine if your not in a rush but we were meeting friends. There is another bus but a longer walk but runs every 20 mins. We found out all this from the really helpful information Hut on site. Only thought was one toilet block wasn't enough but we actually  never struggled. Plus not a sign off the roundabout for the site which makes it hard to find and sat nav took me the wrong way! But will definitely be going again. Highly recommended site and very well looked after by the wardens.

Great site

Enjoyed a 4 night break at Beechwood Grange and must say we will return . The dog walk and play field for kids must be the best on the network . This was our first visit and just a word of warning the very last roundabout before the site has got multiple traffic lights and hardly noticeable stop lines ( worn out ) and could catch you out while looking for the local traffic only sign its a very busy junction. Also don't trust the caravan club promoted snooper gps its way off the mark for this site.

Another great visit and review

What can I say apart from brilliant. Trevor and Patricia are without any doubt the best and most hardworking wardens I have ever seen. They keep this site along with the very nice assistants clean, tidy and well presented. As for the previous review about saving pitches, I never saw this. We look forward to re visiting later in the year and well done, brilliant.

Good site

Ideal site and good location for York staff very friendly only downside is poorly signposted from main road and there seems to be a bit of favourtism towards regular guests by reserving pitches with cones but would return again.
