A good urban site

We had three nights here on our way home from a holiday further afield.  It's a lovely site with spacious pitches and great newly refurbished facilities.  Very welcoming wardens who obviously keep the site beautifully maintained.  The location is great for both shopping and walking - the riverside regeneration must be one of the best schemes in the country.  Great as well to watch the Whitewater course in action - not to mention the seals feeding at the barrage.  Throughly recommend this site.

Very Impressed!

We wanted to book this site earlier in the year, but due to it being closed for revamp work, were unable to use it until the 1st October. We have family in the area, and we found White Water Park a good place to base ourselves for a few days. We were not disappointed. The site was very impressive, clean and the staff very helpful. Teeside Park shopping was just the other side of the river, so everything was to hand. Brilliant time! We will be returning in 2017. Already looking forward to it.

Superb Newly Refurbished Site

Although only 30 mins tow from home area booked to stay on White Water Rafting club site for an initial 4 nights but enjoyed the facilities and area so much that we extended our stay to 7 nights. Site has recently reopened after extensive refurbishment which included provision of more hard standings which I personally prefer to use. I chose a pitch at far end of the site away from the amenities block as my caravan has full services onboard. This meant it was nice and quiet and apart from people coming and going to the Caravan Storage area we were never disturbed. The pitches are large and well spaced and there is also a caravan/motorhome washing area next to storage area which is a great idea and something I will look to use in future stays. It is but a short walk to the local beefeater pub restaurant and if you need provisions you can comfortably walk to the local ASDA (10 mins). At the ASDA is a bus stop which goes either into Stockton and onto Darlington or in other direction into Middlesbrough. We used this service rather than our car and enjoyed two days out in both Stockton (lovely place) and Middleborough (now improved for shopping facilities compared to years ago). I can definitely recommend a stay at White Water and don't forget to walk down to the actual rafting centre to see the people going through the rapids in their Kayaks! Brilliant!

Nice site

Newly refurbished and offering everything I needed. Ideal for the White Water centre, the River Tees etc. Excellent, friendly and helpful wardens. Only scored down the peace and quiet as woken at 04.00 by police siren and helicopter - the joys of being near-ish to big towns!

Very much improved site

We have been on this site a number of times, unlike a lot of caravan club sites this one is very family friendly a lot of sites favour dogs! But this one is very well run anew extremely friendly, the new swing park is outstanding and clean, even have bike lockers, (great move) the plots are now mostly hard standing, and the site has a great team of staff who are very helpful every part of the site is outstandingly well looked after.

Go white water canoeing...or just watch it!

Booked for two nights, but within one hour extended our stay to four and glad we did! Wardens work hard to keep this recently refurbished site immaculate. Pitches are generous and well spaced and facilities are definitely one of the best we have experienced on a club site. Weather was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our trips in the area, especially Saltburn-by-the-Sea and the historic "Headland" area of Hartlepool. The marina area in Hartlepool is worth a visit  with its interesting museums. Site is well placed for travelling north or south from the M1.

Great place to explore

Very clean site and facilities. Great location by the river Tees. Lots of paths to explore the Tees area. Beautiful bridges over the river. Close to the seaside: Redcar and Saltburn. Asda supermarket also very close by, which is useful.

Whitewater revisited

Returned to Whitewater after being updated and still think top of the sites that the club have. really appreciate the walks that are available from site with the dog. facilities are top rated as is the service given by the wardens even the service pitches don't look so gloomy since the bushes and trees have been reduced in quantity and size

Fantastic site plenty to do

This site has recently re-opened after having a make over and it is first class. I have not been on a site before that had a dedicated place to wash your caravan and even bike lock-ups are here for your use. The staff are excellent at keeping the place so tidy and clean the toilets are spotless and the wardens work never seems to be done they are always on hand when needed. There is plenty to do on foot or bike for all ages.
