Lovely site with large pitches, wardens are absolutely lovely. Great food at The Gamekeepers Inn with brilliant service. Beautiful walks in surrounding area and Grassington is absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend this site.
Almost perfect
The wardens are brilliant, location is superb and the dog walk has to be the best of any site we have visited, so it is such a shame that this fabulous site is spoiled by the refurbished toilet block letting it down. Like lots of other sites, the club must pay attention to detail and spend more money on toilets that flush properly, especially as users generally are not very good at leaving them clean, anyway!
Fabulous time
We arrived after a little mishap missing the almost immediate left turn ( we did read the directions from C&MH page) After that everything was hunky dory apart from the weather fortunately just after finishing putting the awning up.
We were meeting friends and managed to get pitched fairly close to each other. Everything was set for a enjoyable weekend. The site is superb with the wardens Faith, Dave, Hilary and Ed keeping everything running smoothly. We will definitely visit again!

Enjoyable short stay
Stayed for four nights on this site in April 2023. Although quite pricey this is a very pleasant site with very good facilities. We found the baby and toddler washroom was an excellent place to clean up our two year old granddaughter at the end of the day. The playground for under 5's was also great as there was plenty of appropriate equipment and she had it to herself throughout our stay! It was dark skies week and towards the bottom of the site we enjoyed impressive views of the night sky as bollard lights had been turned off. Site roads are well surfaced and our hard standing plot was almost level, although this was not true for all plots. Site staff were very friendly and helpful. Pleasant walk to Spar shop in Threshfield through the gate at the back of the site and along Skirethorns Lane. You can also do this by taking the footpath near the site entrance which takes you through woods and fields but the final one hundred metres or so has to be done on the road as there is no pavement. Picnic tables on well kept grassy areas are a nice touch.

Great site and location
We stayed here for five nights in April 2023. Site managers Hilary, Ed, Faith & Dave work very hard to keep the site clean and tidy, and offer a great welcome to guests. We were lucky to get one of the pitches 105-110 which overlook an area of grass full of wildlife interest - we saw rabbits, pheasants and even deer. There is no problem towing along the B6265 from Skipton which is an excellent road. There's a stretch near the site where the road narrows a little, but nothing at all to worry about. The site facilities are kept immaculate. My only criticism would be the price which at £42.30 per night for our caravan with 2 adults including EHU was by far the most we've ever paid for a site. But the surrounding area is absolutely stunning. If you're looking for a great pub, there are plenty around, but for real character we were lucky to find the Craven Arms in Appletreewick, if you don't mind a short drive, try it, you won't be disappointed! They serve local Appletreewick Cider too!
Excellent stay
Lovely site. Really enjoyed our stay. Facilities were excellent and extremely clean. We walked to Grassington twice. Once via the road and once cross country via Linton Falls, The latter was much better. Grassington is nice - we had a great brunch there after the visit to the Folk Museum which was even more interesting than we expected.

Fantastic Staff 0n 8 day stay
Great location with a gentle stroll into Grassington - just over a mile away.
A functional site very well maintained but lacking a little in character, a little regimented, but fine. Staff work their socks off and ensure the site toilets etc are immaculate but as increasingly seems to be the case some users do not respect their hard work, or other users needs, and increasingly can't be bothered to use the mop after the shower - leaving mud on the floor - or even use the loo brush when required. Dogs in the shower block - not assistance dogs - is a definite no but ignored by a few.
Similarly the 5 MPH car rule is ignored by a good number.
The first 5 days of our stay were great but as the numbers increased, heading towards the Bank Holiday, the site became very busy and felt a little over run as larger groups gathered with Prosecco bottles popping alongside smoking barbecues and the cremation of innocent sausages!
We will return because it is so good for walking but will avoid the Bank holidays. Please appreciate staff and fellow members.
One of the best
Our first time to Warfedale site and won’t be our last. Wardens Dave and Faith were amazing so welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. They never stopped working, from early to late. The toilet and shower block is a credit to them one of the cleanest blocks I’ve seen, you can tell they love their jobs.
We will be back only an hour from home so ideal. Nice pub on the next site.
Lots of open space between pitches.
Great holiday
What a fantastic site 1st visit and won’t be the last the wardens are the best we have meet absolutely nothing to much trouble for them went above and beyond as when we arrived our heating and hot water not working he went straight away and brought us his oiled filled radiator to warm us up
Well stocked essentials on site milk bread etc friends we came with managed to get a cancellation for Easter for his partner and sister
Can’t wait to go back
Very very clean shower block lovely and warm
The best site we have visited
We had four nights at this site, during a period of cool, mixed weather in March. It was excellent. The staff were all very helpful and the facilities sparking clean. The dog walks from site were good but because the upper path around the site was quite muddy in wet weather we often walked along the road through the caravan park. There were plenty of dog waste bins on site. It's a beautiful, quiet site, ideally placed for visiting the local area.
