I liked it so much, I doubled my stay there! Perfect! Best so far, by far!

I am new at this, but 4 sites in and Wharfedale has been by far the best! The service, the cleanliness and quality of facilities, the lot. Perfect!! The team was excellent, Faith and Dave in particular as I spent more time with them owing to holidays, but they were attentive, available, supportive, helpful and always fun! The site - as I said, 4 in and the facilities are newer, cleaner, better by far! I am sure this is down to the investment being made across the franchise, but the others need to step up quickly as I have heard grumbling from members. Location - I am a Yorkshireman and I had no idea (ignorantly) how beautiful it is, especially around Wharfedale. Easily accessible, so much to see and do. Overall - GREAT.

Wardens

Hello our names are Jackie and Neil Davison we have been coming to Wharfedale for about 13 years and always been happy we have visited twice recently and can’t speak highly enough about new wardens Faith and Dave they everything a warden should be plus that little bit of magic that makes a stay special. I believe their time at this site is coming to an end but we will certainly travel to wherever they are next xxx

Been coming 25 years. Never this expensive

A great site with good facilities. Three visits this year Never full rather half to three quarters. I wonder why Is it because the club has got greedy and charge 25% over what it is worth or was it the 20% deposit that I lost going to a funeral at 10. Yes ten days notice It should be 10% which I agree with and to cancel within a week I will be back next year if the club reverts to a members club and not the managers playing at being businessman

Good, but now getting expensive

Enjoyed our stay at the site which as usual is well managed by the wardens and the facilities are all that is needed. Not sure about pricing as this site was over forty pounds per night for the two of us. Checking with websites like 'Pitchup' there was no private site that was in excess and all were cheaper. Caravan Club have 'over egged' their fees we suspect, which is a pity. Noted that up to 50 pitches were vacant during our stay which was far in excess of our previous experience.

Fantastic site

2nd visit this year we where not disappointed again very clean shower block immaculate site wardens work really hard to keep it so clean and tidy great check in and nothing to much trouble for the wardens can’t wait for next visit

Touring Yorkshire Dales - June 2023

We were touring the Yorkshire Dales and stopped here for 2 nights. This is a larger site than we usually stay on but well kept. There were plenty of pitches to choose from. Close proximity to Grassington, we were lucky to see some filming of All Creatures Great & Small while we were here. It was very hot while we were in Yorkshire Dales so spend each day finding rivers for our labrador to swim in to cool down! Pateley Bridge Pancake House had the most delicious ice creams. There is a long stay car park (70p all day) by the river which also has a lovely walk. Lots to see in the area

First visit

A lovely first visit to this campsite and we were not disappointed. A great friendly welcome from the warden checking us in. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of this site although maybe because it wasn’t full whereas apparently the weekend before it was full so might have been a different experience. Excellent clean toilet block and well looked after site. We are new to caravanning and have been impressed so far with the club campsites. We loved the walk from the site into Grassington. The A59 through a Knaresborough and Harrogate to get to the site was a bit of a pain as so busy but couldn’t go any other way when towing.Helpful that all the sites have directions to it and tell you which roads you have to take. Weather was mixed but didn’t spoil out little break. In Grassington we had a meal at the Devonshire pub that was really nice- definitely need to book and The Stripey Badger tearoom had a lovely selection of cakes. We walked to the Gamekeepers Inn for a drink and were a bit shocked at the price of a glass of wine -£9.20! Although beer was average price. Would definitely return to this lovely site

A perfect piece of Yorkshire heaven

We has just returned home from 4 beautiful days at this site, and we were that impressed we have just changed our bank holiday booking and decided to visit here. On arrival we were greeted by the staff, who have us the options of where was still available. Once pitched up, we set off for a look around the site. The toilet blocks are absolutely immaculate, despite the site being very busy, I just wish some people would maybe clean up after themselves.. The site is just beautiful, calm and relaxing, and well maintained. Hillary and Ed are a credit to the club, warm, welcoming and extremely professional. The gamekeeper inn is a must, we had Sunday lunch and the carvery was outstanding. A nice walk into Grassington, and a short drive to burnsall and Bolton Abbey. Thank you for your hospitality team Wharfedale, we will see you soon

MAY 2023

Lovely site with large pitches, wardens are absolutely lovely. Great food at The Gamekeepers Inn with brilliant service. Beautiful walks in surrounding area and Grassington is absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend this site.

Almost perfect

The wardens are brilliant, location is superb and the dog walk has to be the best of any site we have visited, so it is such a shame that this fabulous site is spoiled by the refurbished toilet block letting it down. Like lots of other sites, the club must pay attention to detail and spend more money on toilets that flush properly, especially as users generally are not very good at leaving them clean, anyway!
