We revisitedthe site at the start of December, fully booked for the Dickensian festival but we were visiting family so no problem to go midweek. The site as upgraded the toilets and showers, they are exceptional, lots of new granite chippings on the hardstanding, new drainage facility for motor homes, a long grate no lifting of heavy manhole covers. Full marks for the improvements
Location is very good for walking, visiting Skipton, Grassington looked so festive and is a lovely Dales villgae, an excellent site in a great location
Lovely Site set in a Woodland Landscape
Spent 2 nights here and it was the first time. The site is placed in a lovely area set in Woodland and surrounded by nature. I spotted a dear on my first day just right outside the gate by the dog walking area. Toilet block was spotless. The friendly staff had put up Christmas lights at the entrance which looked very effective and got you in the Christmas spirit. There is a pub and a gym on the static caravan site adjacent and the food was lovely. Plenty of walks and grassington is a 30 min walk. Would definitely return.

Super Site
Stayed for a midweek break. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here, nice and quiet with plenty of lovely walks and places to visit when the weather turned inclement.
Plenty of Pubs in the area serving excellent ales and good food. Will return again and hope for better weather
Very nice site following the recent refurbishment
We have visited this site many times over the years, both with a caravan and a motorhome. My biggest gripe with the motorhome was the very poor facilities for emptying grey water, however, this has now been rectified and a proper open grid installed.
We found the wardens very pleasant upon arrival, the pitches are mostly level and the gravel hardstanding are good. The refurbished shower block was of a very high standard.
Around the site, the Gamekeepers Inn is a short walk, serves good food & beer.
From the site, it's a 2 mile walk into Grassington, we also walked dow to Linton, then Burnsall along the River Wharfe and back via Hebden and Grassington. A very nice 11 mile circular walk.
The Warfe View cafe in Burnsall was very good, some really nice home made cakes.
Wonderful site - just the odd point needs seeing to.
We have been to this site many times and whatever the weather always enjoyed ourselves in the lovely Yorkshire Dales.
It is a pity that when the Toilet block was refurbished no body looked in the mirrors in the privacy cubicles because in some of the Gents you have to be no higher than 4 Feet tall to see yourself or have a strong pair of knees!! this is because the mirrors have been sited below the windows. They need to be put on the adjacent walls. Similarly in the Ladies I am given to understand one must be over 6 feet tall to see oneself. The Club knows about this and "Hopefully" when the site re-opens next year they will have been fixed.
A few Fully serviced pitches would have been very welcome while the site was closed for refurbishment earlier this year for us older people who find tugging water too and fro very hard work.
I echo the previous point about too many trees and shrubs being removed and would recommend the club do do some more planting in the future.
We too visited the Gamekeepers Inn one night and had a fabulous meal. Highly Recommended.

Suits us just fine!!!
We have visited this site several times as we used to live nearby. Now we live on the North Yorks coast it is our very favourite site for visiting friends & family 'back home'. We love the scenery, Grassington the Gamekeepers pub ( on site) and for an occasional treat the spa & swimming facilities!!! The showers are immaculate and the water is hot. The staff are very helpful and we can't recommend the whole experience enough!!!

Good Walking Break
This is a great site for a weekend walking break. Being just over an hour from home, we shall probably use this site more often than we have. The pitches are 'more or less' level and well spaced. The facilities block is spotless. Lots of hot water for showering following muddy and cold walks.
The trek into Grassington isn't the most inspiring but easy enough in around 20 minutes. You'll need a torch if doing it after dark. The newish Spar garage about 10 minutes walk from the site has a fantastic mini supermarket supplying most of what may be needed in terms of fresh food, drink and newspapers etc.
We walked along the river, cutting up to Hebden, back through the meadows to Grassington and then out the other side through Grass Wood returning by the river path. About 8.5 miles it is a reasonably steady walk without any steep climbs. Lot of bird spotting opportunities.
Grassington itself is good for cafes and pubs as well as independent shops that are good to browse. The Eco Coffee Cafe does excellent cake-if you can get a seat!
Fantastic Site in Gods own County.
Stayed on this site several times. Need disappointed. The improvements are great.
One criticism Please can the wardens think before they speak to guests. The way things are said can be interpreted in different ways. Some need to remember guests are on holiday and want to enjoy their stay. I know of a guest that left the site due to one warden addressing them badly. (the phrase you rent the pitch not the grass is not helpful.) Maybe we need to change their name to Holiday Managers or something else more friendly.
Relaxing break
Just enjoyed 6 nights on this site. A fantastic site for walking, we only used our car once. A walk over the tops to Lindon is a must what a beautiful village and a great pub for a coffe/lunch stop. Site warden very helpful and friendly. Refurbished toilet block is excellent and extremely clean. The only improvement we felt would be a separate facility for washing boots/dogs rather than at waste water tap points. Can't wait to return next year.
great weekend away
We have just returned from 2 nights here , our first visit since the refurbishment. The facilities are lovely and clean , plenty of hot water in the showers and lovely and warm inside.
the only point we picked up on was there was no coat hooks in the washing up area ,especially at this time of year when you are wearing outerwear .
The drying room is great . The site is well located for the dales and plenty of walks from the site.
Will be back next year.
