Lovely site

Spent 3 nights at this lovely site in May. Pitches were nicely spaced out and thevfacilities spotlessly clean. The Gamekeeper Inn was a short walk away but was very busy when we called in for a drink. There is a regular bus service about a 15 minute walk away in Threshfield, which we caught to Skipton where we spent a lovely day browsing round the market and quaint shops. Our trip coincided with the Tour De Yorkshire so we watched this fabulous race go by. It is an easy walk into Grassington, approx half hour walk, where there are more lovely shops and plenty of eating places. All in all a lovely site, we will return.

Loved our stay....

Stayed here for the first time this past week and we will certainly be back in the future. The site is lovely and kept immaculate by the hard working wardens who, are welcoming, cheerful, dedicated and will go the extra mile to help if you have any problems. The only negatives were irresponsible dog owners who don't clean up after the dogs leave it for the wardens, (we do have dogs) A long with the speeding drivers, The speed limit is there for a reason and applies to EVERYONE!

Stunning site, wonderful stay, will definitely be back!

We have just returned after a week's stay. What can I say, this site is absolutely stunning in every way. The facilities for dogs and young children are excellent and everywhere is so clean. I cannot fault the site. Thank you to the lovely wardens for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be back again soon.

Our new favourite!!

Came here with our dog for two nights at a weekend. Absolutely loved it. When visiting a site for the first time we like to stay local and explore the area on foot without using the car. Walking offsite is brilliant. We loved exploring the area around the disused mine and having a cuppa in the little cafe in the holiday village next door. The wardens were friendly and helpful and the site facilities were lovely and clean. We had a pitch near the entrance to the dog walk which had a lovely view over the fields. We loved watching the lambs playing and the local pheasant who visited our bird feeder!! Just bliss!!

Perfect Holiday

We have stayed on this site many times in 30 years of caravanning. It is great for walking with the dog and is peaceful yet the Gamekeepers Inn is close and dog friendly. This visit was made special by the Wardens, lovely welcome on arrival and all four of them showed a desire to make everything okay for the visitors. Nothing too much trouble, I even had a gas bottle delivered to my van, the downside to this might be that he thought I couldn’t carry it! The wardens made a point of walking round the site on a regular basis to check on things and help new arrivals, but also to enforce in a pleasant manner the pitching rules, and we saw a number of people have to move their caravans or Motorhome to comply with the correct pitching. It seems that quite a few people can’t retain instructions regarding pitching or speed limits for more than a few seconds!!!! The wardens can’t be expected to enforce all the rules all the time but then they shouldn’t need to. Our other pet hate is people taking shortcuts across pitches - why can’t people show a little thought to others and their privacy. Despite these moans it was a wonderful holiday and if you missed my comments earlier, the Wardens were first class and perhaps the best we have come across in 30 years. One thing to watch out for is the tendency for small birds to build nests on a wheel arch of cars, this has happened on a few visits.

First time visit

We visited this site for the first time last week. It's a well laid out site with spacious pitches. There are excellent walks for our recently acquired dog. The Gamekeeper's Inn within the adjacent holiday park is worth a visit for decent food and ale. Grassington is a few minutes away, and Skipton is about 10 miles away; we spent an enjoyable hour or wandering along the Springs Canal. Beware of low flying military aircraft! We plan to return.

Peace on earth

We have been several times to this lovely site and it never fails to impress. The location is fantastic, the views and tranquility you cannot pay for. Not far into Grassington a stout 45 min walk, plenty of other moorlands walks adjacent. The site is just a nice size and the facilities are lovely. Also 10 mins away the cherry on the cake, The Gamekeepers Inn great place for a drink and food. This is all supported by the lovely wardens Bev and Mel (and support) wardens who work hard and can't do enough to help. We are booked back for Xmas Markets already. We'll done Club.. J&J.

Great site

Stayed here for the first time last weekend and we loved it. Pleasant well run site, amenities immaculate. A big thank you to the wardens (and fellow caravaners !) who helped us sort a problem with our caravan, we were very grateful. Great walks from the site. Easy walk into Grassington which is a lovely village with several pubs. We had a good hearty meal at the Devonshire which was reasonably priced. Dogs were welcome in the bar area. We will definitely be back, and next time for longer.
