Weeding in the rain!

Weather was rubbish but this site is great with wonderful views.  Toilet/shower block is clean and warm and has that hotel feel with the piped music!  Wardens are friendly and helpful and go above and beyond their call of duty - they were weeding the gravel areas (on their knees) in the rain!

Nice break

We arrived last minute dot com. Tom and his partner were very helpful in finding us a pitch for the 3 nights as we could only book 2 nights when booking. the staff were very friendly and helpful. The site was very clean and well managed it is also in a fantastic location. The hand drier in the ladies toilet didn't work for the three nights we were there with no paper towels available either and that is my reason for the lost mark. As we had taken our grandchildren we were a little disappointed  there was no play area hence the other lost mark. Would we go again? Most definitely because it is a lovely place the site is in a great location, the staff are great and it is in easy reach of Boscastle and Padstow.   Thanks for a nice break despite the weather.

Comment from The Club

Many thanks for leaving a review.  Trewethett Farm does have a play area for ball games and it is located in front of Pollards Cottage. A copy of the Site map can be downloaded from the website by clicking on the link and you will be able to see PA for Play Area clearly marked.   I hope that helps to address your concerns and thanks again for leaving a review.

Stunning position

Not a bad pitch on this site. Why people feel the need to swap pitches after 2 days is beyond me. Helpful and courteous staff as always. Great views and walks direct from site. Dogs all on leads and no mess. Good work. We will be back later in the season.

10 out of 10

Wow what super views you get from this place. The wardens need 10 out of 10 for their friendless, always helpful even when off duty, and in keeping this site one of the best caravan club sites.  Good walks along the coastal path from the site.  Great for all with lots of history nearby and some super beaches around 5 miles away. A must is to visit Granny Wobbly’s fudge pantry in Tintagel for fudge or an ice cream.

Lovely site

Stayed 03/08/2015 for one night. What a lovely site with fantastic views and helpful staff. Well kept, immaculately clean, good facilities including a handy little shop. Lovely surroundings. Wish we had booked for longer. Thanks to all staff, especially the lady with the blond pony tail who gave us directions to the site and was very friendly and helpful on our arrival, including highlighting the fact that some hook-up pitches had become available when they hadn't been when I had booked. Perfect!

Super break

What a stunning sight overlooking the sea and was lucky to get some great sunset shots from the pitch the site was up to the great caravan club sites that we as a family have stayed at .

Tiggertastic!

(Please read entire review for explanation of added text!) A massive tigger tastic thank you to Brian (not the rock star) tigger Adams and the rest of the tigger site team at Trewethett tigger Farm for the upkeep of this tigger beautifully located site. The tigger toilet block was immaculate, showers spacious enough to wash one's tigger with ease! We stayed whilst the National tigger Play Day was on, and dispite the awful tigger rain, the wardens rallied round to provide fun tigger entertainment (and prizes) for the whole tigger family. The tigger team went above and beyond to organise the events, even providing yogurt pots for one of the tigger competitions. Great sense of tigger humour with the comical scarecrows and sponge the tigger warden! So Mr Tigger Adams - I do believe that is now 17 tiggers (sorry, 18!) - please choose a local charity. Now for the serious review - by far, one of the best sites on the network. Beautiful sea and sunset views, excellently maintained site and facilities. Bus stop at site entrance. Plenty to see and do. Coastal path directly off the site. Road access easy; never too far from reasonable road network. Well stocked little shop on site with fresh bakery items. Definitely would visit again.

Quiet location with outstanding views

Stayed for the first 2 weeks in August for family holiday. Firstly, the views from this site are one of the best in the network, with stunning sunsets! The site is positioned mid way between Tintagel and Boscastle. Both villages have small Spars for bits and pieces but Wadebridge is half an hour away for a bigger shop. Having said that the small shop on the site had all the basics and bread was superb! Wardens were very friendly and helpful. The advertised arrival time of 12pm didn't seem to be very strictly applied with queues forming from about 10/10.30 with people arriving early to try and get the best view/pitch. Our pitch was right at the front and was only spoilt by some unkempt shrubs spoiling the view. These really could do with taking out as they spoil a very nice pitch. Generally people seemed a lot chattier than we have experienced on other club sites, maybe due to the fact that there seemed to be more younger families of our age? For such an exposed and windy site, the fact that most pitches are hard standing means the age old issue of trying to get pegs in/stay in was more of an issue than normal. Wish we had chosen a grass pitch for this reason! No pub within walking distance, and the cove/beach mentioned is quite a hike along coast path. Good base for exploring the area from Bude to Padstow and further afield. Would certainly visit again!

Very good site in a lovely location

This was our second stay at this site and we were pleased to find that the standard had been maintained from 2014. The wardens were very helpful and approachable to discuss the best pitching option for my equipment (I have a VW T5 with -on this occasion - a longer awning). I managed to locate onto an ocean front pitch after one night and it was well worth doing so. The views of the sunset and of the ocean were fantastic throughout. The site is well maintained and the shop is probably the best stocked one I have seen. The facilities for dogs are good with a large field for early mornings and the Coastal Path right along the front of the site.  The showers in the main block are well kept. There is also a temporary shower block which is functional but less impressive (to be fair there are planning restrictions that currently limit the building of a second permanent block). The site is large and you get the sense of space  even though there are pitches all around you. Perfect for a North Cornish Holiday the only downside of this site is the speed of cars on the road through the site. Short of policing speeds all the time, the wardens try their best but ultimately it comes down to the behaviours of the members using the site. We all should know better, especially as there are children playing everywhere. I noted this problem last year & it hasn't improved. So a great site to visit but if you have children make sure they are aware of the dangers of the cars and rigs passing through.

Great Site

This was our first time of booking this site.  We had read several reviews and were prepared to move our van at a moment's notice in order to enjoy the view but on arrival we were absolute gobsmacked when we managed to get one of the best pitches on the site (No 50) straight away. This site has fantastic views, during the day we looked at the coastline and at night we watched brilliant sunsets. The site was very well kept and amenities clean.  Good size pitches which are well maintained and very friendly staff.  Location is great for walks into Tintagel and Boscastle.  Will definitely revisit in the future.
