Spectacular sea views and sunsets

We joined friends for a few days stay and now know why they raved about this site. What a gorgeous position and we were given choice of pitches available to suit our motorhome and dog. Needs transport or a very long cliff walk to get to nearest pub but very helpful staff and yummy pasties in the site shop. Cliff walks compensated for the rather small and busy on-site dog walking area. We look forward to returning asap.

Amazing views and lovely walks

Stayed mid October 2016 for 3 nights. This was our first experience of a caravan club site and it did not disappoint. The wardens were friendly and knowledgeable and the facilities spotless.  The views from our pitch were gorgeous and as the site is next to the SW Coastal Path walking with our dogs was lovely. Being in between Boscastle and Tintagel was a bonus. We saw seals in Boscastle Harbour which was special too. We will be back

A site you must see

As many other reviewers have said - Wow. We have just spent a week here and it took us longer to pack up than usual because we just kept staring and sighing at the view and wondering when we could come back! We were fortunate to be able to come out of peak season so it was probably more peaceful than in the summer. The site is well maintained with excellent facilities and friendly wardens. Local coastal walks are exhilarating - but good footwear is essential.

Scenic well maintained site

We stayed for 10 days at the end of September and were very impressed with this site.  Obviously is was quiet as children were back at school, so we cannot comment otherwise.  The site was exceptionally clean and tidy, even the extra toilets sited in the portacabin towards the top field. The warden said we could view pitches before pitching and was very helpful in moving the pitch marker to ensure we did not have too muddy an entrance into the van.  One evening we had exceptionally high winds, which had not been forecast locally or regionally; we recon about 40pmh gusts.  It was a stormy night, a little scarey, but the warden was vigilent, checking the top field, where we were pitched, and I understand helping at least 4 other families with dismantling their awnings at 10.00pm. Well done to the staff - a warm welcome and help when required.  Many thanks.  We hope to return when better weather is forecast.

Just one word WOW

I have been to this site 3 times now and I just can't get enough , the site staff are amazing, the site is fantastically set out on a cliff top with views from most pitches across the bay, it is absolutely stunning, loads of dog walks, coatal path goes through the site, also very disabled friendly too, fantastic disabled facilities. Can't wait to go back

beautifull views if your lucky

Been to this site twice now. first time was wonderful, great pitch, great view. second time wasn't so lucky. we followed the rules and got there after 12 only to be told that the only pitches left were grass pitches and the only view you got was either dustbins or the caravans in front of you blocking the view. some people had arrived early and got the best views on hard standing. didn't think this was fare as we followed site rules and got there after 12. asked if we could move when someone left but was told that they couldn't tell us who was leaving the next day because we might bother them . so we hatched a plan to wake really early and walk round the site at 6 in the morning looking for someone who was leaving. we were lucky and spotted someone leaving so hurried back to our van and got a better pitch. So our first night was ruined by pitching in a rubbish spot and not being able to sleep well because we had to get up really early to move pitch. We went there specifically for the view. we were told that we couldn't book a particular pitch and would have to take our chances. Don't think we will be returning again. Didn't like the jobsworth warden who caused noise every morning by cutting the grass everyday. He even made a snide remark about our awning saying it was a little on the big side to another person pitching next to us. Then realised the pitch marker had been moved on the pitch next to us. He didn't apologize for his remark. There was quite a few other people too that were unhappy with their pitch, i even heard the warden chatting to a cleaner about people complaining about pitches and that he told them it was tough and that they would have to take their chances like everyone else I don't think its at all fare that you travel all that way ( from leicester to Cornwall ) only to be told what you thought you were getting wasn't available. we tried to ring them several times before we went but could never get through. So in summing up. if you want to drive hundreds of miles for the maybe small chance of getting a pitch with a view , then go ahead. we won't be trying that again. Non caravan club sites let you book pitches , if you know the truth about what you are really going to get instead of the video untruths you get to see on here , maybe you would think twice.

Beauty Spot !

Beautiful location with fantastic views. Well spaced pitches. Spotless facilities.  Wardens gave a superbly warm welcome very friendly,  unlike some of the ' Hitler Youth  encountered on some previous sites (but thankfully becoming a rarer species ).Follow the instructions to arrive safely ! Gave it 3 as limited for children and tho a keen walker those walks to Tintagel and Boscastle can be hard going . Having said that, the site has a lovely park area. Will go again for sure !

The best ever

Altho' the approach to this site (and do take the recommended route) can have its moments it is well worth it. Breathtaking views, spotless site, superb wardens that couldn't be more helpful, always cheerful and to crown it all virtually every pitch has sea views. All the hardstanding pitches are level.....and I mean level so no adjustments for lateral level for your van/motorhome and on different levels. There are the maximum number of pitches with sea views with minimal/no interruption from other vans/motorhomes. A veritable paradise. And if walking is your forte, then again the coastal path is close by for Tintagel, Boscastle and villages beyond dependant on your energy levels. I cannot recommend it too highly and we will certainly be returning.

One word of warning, it can be blowy here as it is exposed and a clifftop site so do be prepared for the odd rocking of your tempoary home!!
