Best ever

We have spent many nights here at Trewethett and we have to say that the site is looking the best we have ever seen it. You can tell the wardens new this year have worked really hard making the site prestine and in tip top condition. The hedging on the road into site has been cut back and looks fantastic. As always the views are to die for. We will definitely return.

Poldark views!

Beautiful location high up on the cliffs. Stunning views. Can be very windy though so check the forecast if using awning! Right on the coastal path giving access in both directions to Boscastle or Tintagel. Easy access, superbly clean and well maintained. Will definitely visit again.

Great site

Stayed here in June. Very popular site, was surprised to find it full in June. No pitches left on hardstanding . Finished up high up on the large field. This was quite a walk to the main block toilets/showers. The nearer portaloos were clean but cramped and tired. The views were outstanding and great coastal paths to Tintagel and Boscastle. My only gripe was people walking their dogs around the site and letting the dogs poo on the grass. Fair enough they were using doggy bags to clean up but a residual is often left behind. Overall a lovely site and would definitely stay again.

First time there

Stunning views, sadly the weather tried its best to spoil them. We didn't realise the wind could blow the awning inside out 😳. Staff very friendly and helpful, shower block excellent. Good walk along the coastal path into Tintagel. Due to the weather we didn't try in the opposite direction. Half day trip to see Doc Martin village at Post Isaac, pleasant. Would definitely return to this site but will try to do so again when the weather is less windy and wet.

Simply Stunning

Our first time at this site, stayed for 2 nights, got an amazing view with our pitch, just perfect. The only thing that annoyed us was the hot water came out brown in the sink cubicles, so didn't like to use it. Lovely wardens, very clean site and very spacious pitches. Really windy weather so couldn't put awning up but that did not really bother us. Visited Tintagel, Boscastle and Nectans Waterfalls. Beautiful part of cornwall. Would defo visit again. Our favourite site so far.

Tired Trewethett

We have been visiting this site now for the last 3-4 years, last year I even had my birthday here. It is in a fabulous location & I'm sure you would struggle to improve on it especially on a sunny & wind free day. Yes it does get seriously windy, but you are on the cliffs so it is to be expected & taken into account with awnings etc.. This year the new wardens have changed the booking in system for the better, we did not experience the stress of previous years as they will now tell you which pitches are available to choose from (like most other sites) where as the previous wardens would not! Very annoying when you are left walking around the site in the rain looking for a free hardstanding for a large & heavy Motorhome. However we did feel that the site overall needs a serious overhaul & an upgrade. This is a very popular large site & to only have one facilities block is just not enough, the poor people on the top of the site only get a portacabin ! Totally not good enough in this day & age ! This portacabin was being removed for the end of the season while we were there last week so now the one facilities block is having to cope with every one & it is not. We found it shabby & smelly (this is not the wardens fault as it is still clean, just extremely tired now). Come on CC put some money back into this lovely site, it is one of the best but is now in need of investment.

Great site.

We are just about to leave this site, having spent four days in awful weather, but the site is superb, the views and location outstanding, but for us, the wardens were brilliant. We have a small mobile home and usually put up our awning, but because of the high winds, this was not possible, so we had to have all our kit inside the cramped motorhome, until the wardens came to our rescue and let us put a lot of our equipment into their store, which then gave us more room, so a huge thank you to the two wardens on site. As previously said, the toilets and shower blocks were kept spotlessly clean, no complaints at all and would highly recommend.

View to die for

We stayed here for 2 nights this weekend, and the weather couldn't have been worse. Gale force winds and biblical downpours. Despite this we will definitely be back. We had a friendly welcome from all the wardens. The site and facilities were immaculate and although the site was full it was still very peaceful. The view is to die for and we had an amazing sunset inbetween the showers on Saturday. Pizzas from visiting van on Saturday we're superb, especially as there was no chance of a BBQ. We live quite locally so have decided that we will visit this site quite often.

Great views

Stayed at this site a few times normally a stop over when we do the holiday run. This year we had 5 nights and we enjoyed every minute. The views are fantastic, we found the showers and toilets clean and the wardens friendly and helpful. Bus stop at the end of the drive ( very long drive) that goes to Tintagel one way and Boscastle or Bude the other. Great location.
