ARRIVE EARLY AND GRAB THE BEST PITCH!

We, a family of four (2 adults, 2 children ages10&8) had a lovely week at Treamble it is very well maintained, in fact spotless and the showers are hot at all times of the day. We had a large pitch and the play park is the best we've seen at any campsite ever. It was pretty much perfect however we had one very big niggle.... we being law abiding citizens arrived after the 12noon requirement and checked out before 10am on our day of departure but EVERY day the rangers were allowing naughty members to arrive early, they would have the choice of where to pitch and be setting up on their newly claimed pitch anything from about 1030 onwards, so you may as well ignore the rules and cheat like the rest of the inconsiderate members as the Rangers did nothing to stop it...in our opinion the 'early' arrivals should be made to wait until after 2pm so the good people/members who abide by the rules get a fair chance at choosing a pleasant place to pitch. They have a huge amount of room where they could fit in a holding bay/waiting zone and it might stop the bad members of the club from being given priority.  My daughter did pop up and speak to a ranger but was told 'well we'd get a backlog' well actually rules are rules and unless they are enforced they are pointless so go ahead arrive early, grab the best pitch and ignore all the usual instructions. The ranger checking in one early arrival was telling them where the good pitches were... so no consideration for members who would arrive at the correct allotted time.(2 hours later)   There were four rangers on site two seems very happy, jolly and helpful they other two were not. (The grumpy man who checked us in was not a great start to our otherwise thoroughly pleasant stay).  Thanks

MOTORHOME AT TREAMBLE

We think this is one of the more spectacular sites in the network, with plenty of unique pitches to choose from. It is beautifully maintained as well. As motor homers without a car or bikes, we were able to enjoy some very good walking, although you really need to manage about 5 miles or so to take full advantage. There is a pub about a mile away (up a steep hill!), and the 1 mile walk to the bus stop on the main road is a steady uphill plod for most of the way. As the details mention, mobile phones don't work here, but we found The Club wifi was satisfactory, as was everything else about the site.

beautiful site

Ten nights on this beautiful site very peaceful and close to great beaches. The approach was a tad nerve wracking the first time as its very narrow but as most people are from the site its not a problem as they've gone through the same journey. We had pitch98 which was sheltered but got the sun but leveling blocks are required.Pizza van and fish and chip van visit the site and a butcher. We loved and hope to return in the near future.

Cornish retreat

The approach to this site is via a single width lane, but we did not have any issues with this during our stay, we did not meet any large vehicles coming the other way! The site is very well presented, as soon as you pass through the entrance the lawned areas are so well kept, the toilet facilities are exceptionally clean, the play area (although we didn't use it) is large. The wardens were friendly and advised that we needed to look for a pitch before we moved from the reception area as most of the pitches were in enclaves and some are on very uneven ground level - take your levellers. This is a fairly large site on a fairly good gradient but still remains quiet. Visits from the local butcher (good meat) and the fish & chip van is a nice touch. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area especially lots of beaches and both north & south of the county are well within reach. We thoroughly enjoyed this site and will return.

Lovely location

Stayed for 2 weeks in June, first time at Treamble will certainly go again. Site clean and stayed on ptch 101 very sheltered hardly felt heavy winds which blew during first couple of days. Tried WFI but unable to stream but truth be told didn't miss it. Lovely walks booklet routes available from reception. Found staff to be very friendly and helpfull. Site could do with sign on main road opposite turning.

No phone & very slow WiFi

Nice site everything as you would expect from CC except there is no mobile phone signal and the WiFi is so slow we found it unusable so we moved site. The CC need to get their act together and sort out communications on this site.

Not Really Any Sea View but still a Great Site.

This is our second visit. It is not a school holiday and site is still quite full but feels quiet. Our pitch is on the Warren Enclave and tests our levelling skills but we don't  mind this as it is such a pleasant corner. The facilities are spotless and there was a warm welcome. I would agree with previous reviews with regard to walks, access etc. Just a couple of observations. If you were at the bottom of the site it is quite a walk to the toilet  block. Maybe one day a second block at the bottom  if the site would be a good  addition? Lastly, whilst talking in the fish n chip queue, a fellow caravanner asked me wher the sea was!? She was somewhat disappointed  that she couldn't  see the sea from the site. My husband says there is a sea view from the entrance to the site but maybe the handbook is a little misleading? Stiil, this has become a favourite place for us and am sure will return often. P.S the fish n chips were very good.

beautiful site

Just returned from a lovely 2 weeks at  Treamble Valley site.  Beautiful spacious site, kept very clean and tidy by the friendly wardens.   Excellent dog walk, the best we have found in over 20 years camping! Also very large play area and ball field for children.  New play equipment being installed in time for the school holidays.  Well done.

Another Great Holiday at Treamble

This is one of our favourite sites and we will be back again next year. The site is very pretty and imaginatively laid out with pitches to suit most tastes. Great location for walking from the site. Our favourite walks are to Perran beach/Perranporth, Holywell Bay and the Smugglers Inn (great food). Wardens are very helpful, and friendly and work hard to keep site clean and tidy.

Fantastic

This was our third visit this year and pleased to say was as fantastic as ever. However  we there at the begining of the schools spring bank holiday and what a change to the sight. The toilets were untidy and showers weren't mopped out by holiday makers, I even overheard one mum telling her daughter to leave it as that is what the wardens are paid to do. People ignoring the 5mph speed limit. One family in a camper van even told their child to go to the toilet in the bushes and they would clear it up, this was at 8am and they were close to the toilet block. The wardens do a fab job keeping the site clean etc would be nice if everyone staying there did their bit.
