A great stay

We thought initially that the site was full as the CC website shows no pitches available but this is misleading (CC you need to look at this). The site was, however, virtually empty so we had a choice of pitches. The pitches were well spaced - not all CC sites are like this - so we enjoyed peace and quiet throughout our stay. The facilities were excellent and clean, the staff helpful and the location was excellent for touring Norfolk. Will we come back? Oh yes!!

Winter Break

Have just returned from five nights at Sandringham, our first stay on this site with our two dogs. We found it to be absolutely perfect as a base to walk from and also explore the NW Coast of Norfolk. The facilities were first class, complemented by the extremely friendly and helpful Wardens. We were mindful of the warnings about seasonal canine illness but nobody seems to agree on an actual cause and it appears we were out of the high risk period. The proximity to Sandringham house meant we were lucky enough to see the Queen & Prince Philip at the Church even though we couldn't actually visit the house. Would recommend the site without hesitation as a winter touring destination.

Great for walks and dogs

Our 2nd New Year here and we really love it. They have a small free party on the night which helps to get us to stay up late despite the freezing weather! We had battery problems whilst on site and we got lots of help and even managed to get to a nearby garage for repair on staff's recommendation. Walks are great as is the Sandringham visitor centre

An extension of Sandringham House

This is an excellent site and because the roads to the coast are excellent it works very well. Everything works as it should and the staff are very friendly. One suggestion. The shower curtains should be longer, to prevent the dressing area from getting soaked.

Lovely site

Spent 5 nights here between Christmas and New Year, lovely site with great walks and plenty to do and see. A big thank you to the wardens who made us feel welcome and provided nibbles and wine on New Year's Eve, very enjoyable talking to like minded campers! Have to say we did not witness any " speeding caravans".

FABULOUS RETREAT

Another brilliant stay at Sandringham. The site is exceptionally well kept and the Wardens extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of walking in the woods, surrounding villages delightful especially Castle Rising. The local Butcher at West Newton has meat from the Sandringham Estate which is delicious. We have also done 2 end of season stays on this site and loved every minute of them. Will definitely be back again and again and again.

New Year at Sandringham

This is the 3rd year we have spent new year at Sandringham and we absolutely love it, but we have an unfair advantage only living about an hour away. We find that after all these years of going to Noffolk as a child we always find plenty to do be it at the coast or just walking up to the visitor centre for a coffee. We think it also good for kids as it gets them out and about. The team that are running the site are very helpful and friendly with a smile on their faces. Nice to have a job in that environment. Thanks for an enjoyable 6 nights. Back again in the Spring.

Really Enjoyed Our Stay!

We had 3 nights between Christmas and New Year at this site. The site itself was very spacious and the effort many vans made to decorate with lights and enhance the Christmas spirit was a lot of fun. We didn't notice a problem with speeding and everyone we met were friendly and helpful including the wardens. The wooded dog walks around the site and the walk to Sandringham estate were fantastic! We were also grateful for the information about which churches the Queen would be at as we were able to see the Queen and spoke to Prince Charles! We would recommend this site and can see why it's often fully booked!

Could do better

3rd visit and this is a good site, made by its location. Sadly one of the females wardens needs a refresher on customer service. Maybe she needs a move. Also too many speeding caravanners. Otherwise all fine.

Christmas/New Year Break

We have just spent our eighth Christmas and/or New Year Break at Sandringham. The wardens were helpful as usual, and did a very good job keeping the service areas clean and the bins empty over the busy period. We cannot comment on the condition of the facilites, as we prefer to use our own, but would expect them to be of the usual standard. What did spoil our stay somewhat is, the people who drive around the site completely oblivious to the 5mph speed limit, or those who simply think it does not apply to them. Not only did this happen with solo cars, but also those making a beeline around the site to secure a pitch with their caravans in tow. As we believe this site is overpriced in high season, maybe it would be an advantage for the Caravan Club to utilise the high fees and place more speed bumps around the site as a deterant to those who ignore the speed limit. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay and will probably return again next year.
