Meeting family

I arranged to meet my Cousin and family at the Caravan site, as I have done many times before.  The site is clean and tidy and facilities are good for all the family.  I am able to take my family to many sightseeing places around and a good time is always had by all, but, where was the lovely mobile fish/chip van on half-term Friday!  It is usually this time of the year the family meet and eat.  However, all was not lost as the mobile van was on the Caravan & Camping site next door the following evening.  I will agree with a previous Review that there is one Warden that really is ready to move on but for the most part we have always found them friendly and accommodating and the family love coming here.

a peaceful haven

Visited here in February and we're delighted with the site and its location. Easy to walk dog from site (but beware in Autumn as seasonal canine illness) and facilities excellent and kept spotless. Very easy to access North Norfolk coast from here. The Budgens in Dersingham is good and sells those fab Eat meals

great site fantastic location

A really good site would certainly recommend.  We will be back  when the house is open so we can vist house and gardens. As always Caravan club sites are kept in A1 condition.  On a personal note I would like to say that we do not use toilets and showers on any site but still have to pay the  price? I would like to see a system like abroad were you have to have tokens to use the facilities.  That way you only pay if you use.Now been iin retirement we have watch the pennies.

Great site!

This is a lovely site. We used it recently for our very first break in our new (to us!!) caravan. It is really handy for Heacham and Hunstanton. The site was very peaceful and the pitches were a good size. The staff were very helpful. The toilet block was really clean. The site info states that TV reception is poor but we had absolutely no problems. The only blip was a couple of other dog owners not cleaning up after their animals in the designated walking area. As dog owners ourselves, we know how important this is!! We will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely site

Stayed at Sandringham last week and had no problems with the toilet block by the office always warm and clean. Site tidy and wifi no problem at all managed to get in every time we went on line. Lovely relief wardens who were friendly and helpful...back there after Easter.

Pity about the weather

Our first time on the site and although we only had a couple of days here, we enjoyed our stay but cannot say that we experienced problems with the heating in the toilet block but we were closest to the one at the top of the site which was fine. First day the weather was beautiful and we went to the RSPB Hide at Snettisham (highly recommended but be prepared for a long and muddy walk from the car park). The second day we managed a walk around the Sandringham Estate Yellow route before the rain came down and boy did it rain!  Still, the site coped well enough and no lingering puddles that I could see. Overall, a good time for some decent family bonding.  We will be back hopefully when the weather is better.

Disappointing attitudes

February half term - cold mornings. Took 3 freezing mornings with no heating in block opposite office, complained every morning - heat on 4th morning. Don't  go for shower near door - only a large single door in, so every time someone enters a blast of cold air comes in - shower curtain gets plastered to your bum. Took awning down on last day and disabled friends visited us - both cars would have fitted on pitch without breaking rules - but when asked at office - met with "only one car on pitch" - wouldn't listen to us any further.completely inflexible. "Official" notice on door states - "Please note emergencies only after 8pm. Sorry but this does not include tripped electric. Please use gas and 12v until the morning then report to office." Many hardstandings need edging and weedkilling as the gravel and grass edges are getting blurred.

ENJOYABLE STAY.

What a wonderful site for the time of year. We found plenty to keep ourselves busy. The wardens were up to the usual standard which you expect (1st class) The WI-FI was a bit iffy but that's not unusual as I have witnessed over the last few months. It can only get better.

Had a lovely stay just got back after staying for four nights. Walked up to Sandringham House had something to eat you must try the cafe does lovely meals , bought some of there yummy jams and pickles as well as some plants , quite a few shops there now. Hunstanton was a bit quiet but its still early in the year. Nice to see the wardens from Top Lodge there they are retiring in a few weeks time lovely couple we wish you well. Site is immaculate as usual .
