Recently spent 3 nights at Sandringham. Great site, always clean and peaceful. Left early as heavy snow forecast for scheduled leaving day.
Wardens very cheerful and helpful despite bitter cold.
Chip van also very good.
We visited Walsingham Abbey to see the snowdrops. Well worth it.
Good cycling territory, although not as flat as you might think!
Will return to Sandringham Site early next year.
Excellent Site
We have just spent a very enjoyable stay at this brilliant site. The Wardens, Alan & Karen, Shaun & Julie, do a fantastic job. It is obvious they spend a great deal of time out on site maintaining the grounds and facilities. We found the toilet/shower blocks to be very clean; perhaps it's a matter of timing, but we did not see any evidence of the issues mentioned by previous reviewers. The site is well placed for visiting North Norfolk and there are plenty of forest walks from the site. There is a good bus service, with the bus stop being adjacent to the site entrance. A must is a visit to Babingley Social club, which is a 5 min walk from the site, where you will find the locals very friendly. It's open every evening and Sunday lunch times, and Club members have an open invite.

A great couple of nights
We stayed at the Sandringham Estate Site for a couple of nights. A lovely location. The facilities were clean and tidy, but probably due a spruce up. The addition of a dog wash area and radio in the toilet block would be ideal.
No Radio
Excellent first visit
Being quite new to caravanning, this was our first family visit to the Sandringham site and we weren't disappointed. It was a fantastic location and we had a lovely pitch right next to the woods - a perfect view in the morning whilst we had breakfast! Great site for young children. Our boys (aged 6 and 9) played on the playground every day and made some lovely friends. The lady on reception (sorry I can't remember her name) was brilliant - extremely friendly and helpful and great with the children. I noticed some customers had commented that the toilet blocks were outdated and needed refurbishing. They did seem a little more old fashioned than several other sites we have visited and possibly not the cleanest. The ladies showers were often full of hair and the floor area was quite grubby. Probably needs a deep clean but it might help if individuals also rinsed the area out when they've finished! Also read comments about no Wi-Fi at the site - don't let this bother you - we had a great time going back to basics, away from social media and mobile phones.
Fortunately we also had a pretty good week weatherwise - dry but very cold, except a couple of evening showers.
Activities - There is a woodland walk to Sandringham House direct from the site, which we did - very family friendly. It was about 1.5miles to get there. We also followed a route to Wolferton to see the refurbished royal station and took in some of the sights of Dersingham Bog. This seemed quite a popular walk with families as we saw plenty of people on our travels. Would definitely recommend the royal station. It's free of charge and pleasing to see the new owner has gone to so much trouble to bring it back to its former glory.
Would also highly recommend a trip to Horsey Beach to see the seals. We did a coastal drive, taking in a couple of other places, before arriving at Horsey. There were hundreds of seals all gathered on the beach.
Would rate Plattens Fish and Chips in Wells if you're looking for something to eat. A nice little seaside place also.
Norfolk is a great area to explore and would definitely like to come back when the weather is warmer!
Not as good as previous
Just left after spending a couple of weeks here. The cleanliness is no where near as good as it once was , the showers and toilets need a good scrub and deep clean . The overall standards have dropped.
The Sandringham Estate Club Site
We stayed on this site with our Motorhome for the first time during January 2018. The site layout and facilities are all excellent. The hard standing pitch required at this time of year was excellent with EHU and TV point if you wanted it. The site caters very well for motorhomes providing good clean Elson Points and on road waste water disposal when leaving. The site wash rooms and toilets were all kept warm and spotless. The nearest village to the site is probably Dersingham some 2.5Miles away with some good real ale beers and quality food. It snowed whilst we were here adding to the magic of a winter stay on this woodland site. A great site.
Nearly perfect
Having stayed at the site on a number of occasions , it continues to be very good, with one exception. As nearly always, one often has to queue to use the men's toilets because there are too few. I do not understand why there are so many washing cubicles with very few people using them. Why not convert some to Toilet compartments. This has been a problem since the site opened.
A great getaway especially at Christmas
We have now stayed at The Sandringham estate club site a number of times and have never been disappointed. Even on days when the weather has been less than perfect the site setting and surrounding area and estate are glorious. The site is very well organised and clean although we did have a power cut for a few hours one night. Other than this it was just about perfect. We will go back many more times in the future. It is very dog friendly and I think our hounds enjoyed it even more than we did. Thanks Caravan and Motorhome club for a great time.
Well Run Site
This site, as always for a C&MC site is very well laid out and the wardens are polite, helpful and obviously hard working keeping the facility in such a good condition. Unfortunately during our stay the toilet block had to be closed down due to a sewage issue, the wardens were very responsive and full facilities were restored by the following day. It would appear that this problem has previously occurred. Bus stops are literally outside the site gates heading either into Hunstanton or Kings Lynn, an hourly service that was very punctual. During our stay the local mobile fish and chip van arrived, very nice indeed and seemed to be well used by the members. Beautiful surroundings and some lovely walks and trails to be ventured on. I can see why this is such a popular site, well worth a visit.
Excellent site
A great site that is up to usual CaMh club standards. Located nicely for Sandringham house and the wash nature reserve, great for kids and spotlessly clean. Recomended!!
