Stopped for 2 nights on way to Cromer to visit relatives. We lived in Norfolk for 7 years and have visited many times since but never visited Sandrigham. What a pleasure to stay on the beautifully maintained site surrounded by the fantastic grounds and house of Sandringham. It’s a lovely walk to the house from the site through the county park and we also walked into Castle Rising to monument castle (English Heritage) and fabulous tea room!
Highly reccomend a stay at this site.
Third visit.
We spent 4 nights at the Sandringham Estate site at the end of a 2 week tour of East Anglia. This is our third visit spread across many years and we experienced the same excellent facilities as always. The wardens were very welcoming and friendly and the site was very well maintained throughout. The facilities are spotless and also well maintained. It was very quiet whilst we were there, just prior to the Easter break, with a mostly elderly clientele. We are surprised that ‘Super Pitches’ haven’t been added in recent years but perhaps there are restrictions with the Club’s lease that affect this.
This is a very beautiful area with a wild coastline and a myriad of activities to undertake and places to visit. We found Sandringham House to be very worthwhile and good value for money as was Holkham Hall, ancestral home of the Earl of Leicester. Membership of The Historic Houses Associatiuon entitled us to FREE entry to both, almost recovering our annual membership fee!
Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and will certainly aim to visit again.
Our First Visit
We arrived at Sandringham after a long detour coming down through Lincolnshire and received a warm welcome from wardens Jon and Sandra.
They work along with Steve and Mark to maintain the site to a high standard but as this is a big site it expands to six wardens for the main season.
The pitches are large and well spaced around the site which is in a very picturesque woodland area with plentiful wildlife. We saw deer and squirrels in the daytime with the sound of owls and foxes calling at night then a dawn chorus from the birds in the morning. A wonderful ambiance.
This is a beautiful quiet location yet is within easy reach of many places of interest such as Kings Lynn, Wells and Cromer.
There are various walks through the woods including to the Sandringham Estate visitor centre (Liz’s Café) from where we spent a very enjoyable day exploring the grounds, museum and house. A recommend experience.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it and before leaving we booked a further two weeks in the summer.
To sum up: a lovely spacious site in a quiet woodland which is well run by a team of helpful and friendly wardens. A fantastic place to chill out and relax.
Thank you Mark, Steve, Jon and Sandra.
Walking Boots required
Just arrived back from 4 lovely days walking at Sandringham. The cleanliness of the site is a real credit to the very friendly and helpful wardens.
We cannot comment on the site for families as we do not have children but there is a playground.
The area is great for walking many from the site. Excellent Fish and Chips from a van on site mon, wed and fri evenings.
Pitch sizes are good we pitched up at the top of Knights Rise which gives you a lovely view of the site and is out of the way from the comings and goings if most of the site traffic. Small amount of levelling was required with our twin axel.
We did visit Sandringham Estate a short walk from the site but was disappointed in the house not much to see for the extra price although the museum with the vintage cars and garden are worth a look.
A tv Ariel is a must as the signal is very poor but each pitch has a booster in the posts and 25m Ariel extension leads are available from the reception at £17.50 which is a fair price.
Lovelly site didn't know Dogs were compulsory.
Site Wardens great, toilet blocks clean, lots of walking can be done from the site . There is even a viewing platform in the woods that gives you a view across the Wash.
Be aware there are a lot of hard standing pitches on site ,that are not level across the Caravan and some form of levelling is required.
Dogs seem to be compulsory and between 2 and 4 seems to be the norm, most are well behaved and it seems some, do not require a lead when on site.
Great site
Lovely site and well placed for visiting surrounding areas. Toilet block was spotless, as was the overall site. A credit to the wardens. Shame one or two dog owners thought it was acceptable to allow their dogs to roam and foul the site, however it seemed the wardens did take appropriate action to rectify this. Would definitely return.

Lovely February break, nice to find somewhere pleasant available all year round
We are a family of four with a 1 year old and a 4 year old, and daddy wanted to get away for reason of distraction (turning 40 wasn't a popular milestone) then realised just how many sites close November to March! So started the hunt for a nice site with good reviews not too far away and open at this time of year.
Enter Sandringham Estate club site, though mid week discounts weren't offered the price was reasonable. We arrived and had a quick look around site to see where would suit us (ideally between the wash rooms and play area). Though the site has two buildings with wash rooms and facilities the upper one near the play area was not in use due to time of year, not a big issue as the site wasn't too big to walk around.
ARRIVAL: Next was the trip to the motor home service point, there was only one but in the middle of site so well placed, I had to do a bit of manoeuvring in empty pitches though because there was only a water supply on the near side (our outfits inlet is on the off side) which could have been an issue if it was busier and there wasn't an empty pitch to turn in.
Although we weren't late I did notice the LNA area had electric posts but there was no water supply don't know if I'd cope without running water on arrival if late.
Our first night we wanted to have a simple easy meal, and had the wonderful surprise as it was Wednesday and on Mon/Wed/Fri I think it was The Village Fryer Fish and Chip van would come to site.
There were plenty of free pitches to choose from, and they were all easily accessible but all were hardstanding, while that may make them easy to maintain not too child friendly if sat out side the MH playing.
FAMILIES: The wash rooms as with most club sites i've used were impeccable! And there was a well set up family wash room!!! An essential for us and a massive plus for any site. There were lovely walks near by in the forest and up to Sandringham estate (although that one was tricky for the first few hundred yards with the pram) and bus stop between Kings Lynn and Hunstanton just outside the camp site for a nice trip out. The play area was lovely, and by no means a criticism but it could have done with having some swings maybe. And my children (daughter in particular) loved seeing Sally each day, she was so friendly and good with the kids.
In terms of staff, Sally was spot on, she couldn't have been nicer or more friendly if she tried, we were just sorry we didn't see her on the last day to say good bye, Imogen enjoyed her Tourer Explorer and camp site Cache hunts.
a jewel of a site
Everything here is excellent. Plenty of space between pitches, facilities faultless. The many walks accessed from the site were brilliant. Highly recommend.

Lovely site
Lovely clean site and very friendly helpful wardens , we have been coming here for several years now and there is so much to do Evan in winter , there are great walks from the site a good one to Sandringham House which has a cafe and gift shop , There is a garden Centre with a coffee shop a Co-op and a Fish and Chip shop in Dersingham just a few miles from the site , Hunstanton has a few shops , cafés and Fish and Chip shops . If you want a meal out try The Honeystone pub as you go into Hunstanton ( just opposite Tesco's ) on the right . We will be back very soon and i know our dog will look forward to it as well .
Lovely site in pleasant surroundings
We stayed for 5 nights over the New Year. Very pleasant, friendly check in, good choice of pitches. Wardens very proffesional and caring putting on drinks and nibbles on NYE. Fish and chip van excellent. This was our first time at this site but will return.
