Lovely site

Lovely clean site and very friendly helpful wardens , we have been coming here for several years now and there is so much to do Evan in winter , there are great walks from the site a good one to Sandringham House which has a cafe and gift shop , There is a garden Centre with a coffee shop a Co-op and a Fish and Chip shop in Dersingham just a few miles from the site , Hunstanton has a few shops , cafés and Fish and Chip shops . If you want a meal out try The Honeystone pub as you go into Hunstanton ( just opposite Tesco's ) on the right . We will be back very soon and i know our dog will look forward to it as well .

Lovely site in pleasant surroundings

We stayed for 5 nights over the New Year. Very pleasant, friendly check in, good choice of pitches. Wardens very proffesional and caring putting on drinks and nibbles on NYE. Fish and chip van excellent. This was our first time at this site but will return.

Brilliant site team.

I stayed at the Sandringham site a few days before and then over the Christmas period. On arrived I was given a warm welcome as I would have expected. The site is maintained to the usual high club standards but what is worth a special mention is the enthusiasm and commitment of the site team. Obviously committed to a high level of customer service, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. It was obvious they intended everyone to enjoy their time at the site, always finding time to chat for a minute or two and always cheerful. Many thanks them all and best wishes for 2019.

Enjoyable stay

We have just returned from a Christmas stay at one of our favourite regular sites. The wardens were very helpful and friendly (especially the Scottish lady so sorry I didn’t get her name), a warm welcome on arrival and plenty of information. The wardens made a special effort on Christmas Eve to put on a Christmas “nibbles and drinks’ gathering for the campers, plenty of nibbles and drink and lovely to get to meet other campers, thank you wardens. As always facilities spotlessly clean, showers always hot etc - as an all year site facilities generally ready for some tlc from the club. We were amazed that the site was only half full, having stayed last Christmas when it was fully booked this was a surprise to us. When we left wardens again very friendly. See you in 2019.

Second visit within 2 weeks and another review !

Another review my last visit, we liked it so much we returned a couple of weeks later. Again had a great time here ! Visited mid-week this time and the site was pretty empty (the lull before the Xmas storm the wardens told me ! ha ha) . Chose our pitch, but then decided it was not the best for our nervous dog,so we asked about moving and warden said it was not a problem, the warden told us to find a suitable pitch and take our time and let her know later. We found a much better pitch for our needs, right on the edge of the woods. Ideal for the dog again , we could literary walk out of the motor home into the lovely vast woodland adjacent , my wife loves it here , she would live here if she could !. The top part of the site was closed which is normal for out of season, and I noticed that the toilet block which was open last time with the 3 broken showers was closed as they were attending to these faulty units and other modifications , but they had opened up the other toilet block,so it caused no problems at all. Facilities nice and clean and the complete site is kept well, even had some tasteful Xmas decorations up which looked nice at nighttime. Very quiet whilst we were there, but then it was quite empty. Special shout out to the warden Jacqueline , she was so helpful and interesting to talk to,and nothing was any trouble. Again they allowed us a late exit time of 4,00pm the next day at no extra cost , which made it a very relaxed stay for us ...again ! Would have booked for this weekend again , but have too much on being close to Xmas , but we will definitely be back soon !

Great location ! Excellent for Dog walkers !, one of the best !

Well this was our first visit here which is strange as we only live 25 mins from Sandringham and never thought of staying here , we have had day visits to Sandringham in the past but just used the car parks at the Sandringham House welcome centre. So we decided to stay overnight at the Club site and it was great. Arrived on Sat 24th Nov , welcomed by the warden , who gave us a wealth of information about the site and the surrounding area , and told us to choose our own pitch (top half of site and toilet block closed for winter, but you can still walk up round there). Chose pitch 77 which was a hard standing with a slight slope , quickly evened up with my levelling blocks (we have a motor home). Good pitch , there was actually loads and loads to choose from as they were not busy, we were close to toilet block and next to woods with a path leading into them straight outside our pitch. We were lucky with the weather and it was sunny on the Sat and Sun and we spent most of the time walking our Weimaraner through the acres of woodland that are available straight from the site , and being that it is so vast you hardly see anyone , its like having your own private woods !. The site itself was clean and tidy (they were still cutting grass when we were there !) , toilet block fine (two showers out of order, but due to site being quiet did not affect us). Quiet and friendly atmosphere about the site , lovely walks to Sandringam , and if you go further afield , you have Hunstanton and other coastal towns on your doorstep , or go the other way and Kings Lynn is just down the road. Spoke to the warden about leaving on the Sunday , and they said as it was not busy just leave when we like , but let them know first , which was great not having to rush to leave on time. My only one gripe was that when I tried to book , it said no pitches without awning available ? Well there definitely was when we were there, there were 4 available , but never mind, just a small point. Anyhow what a great site and we will be returning soon

A really lovely site

I've stayed here before and I'll stay here again. Excellent location with lots of walking from the caravan door and ideal for dogs. Friendly, and very helpful wardens and clean facilities.

Disappointing

The top toilet block was shut and in the bottom toliet block 2 out of 6 showers in the gents were closed, leaving only 4 in use 45% of the sites capacity. Age of toilet blocks is not a major issue so long as they are clean. They felt grubby and unloved. The TV booster system was prone to cutting out. The WIFI is appalling, just checking E Mails and surfing were at times impossible. For a prestige site, I am afraid it is in real need of improvement. However the location and the peace and quiet of the site were as always magical.

Regular visitors

Sandringham is probably one of the best sites on the Caravan Club network, this is particularly due to the hard work and dedication of the site team. Karen and Alan work tirelessly to ensure the site is clean, tidy and well run.a pleasure to stay here. What a shame that in spite of their hard work other members abuse both the site and the rules by mindless damage, speeding and poor dog control. A great site with brilliant hard working staff well worth a visit.
