Stayed at this site for 12 nights arriving home on the 4 th October.
It is a first class site for exploring the Derwent Valley, lots to see nearby, Crich Tramway Village is close by and well worth visiting.
The Mills at Cromford and Belper are part of the world heritage sites and should not be missed.
Walking along the Cromford canal is also very interesting.
The site is well maintained by the site wardens, Les and Angie Hughes. The toilet block and showers were always very clean.
I hope we have the chance to visit this site again in the future.
Fantastic...........
We have just got back from a 3 night stay at The Firs and what can we say......... very friendly and welcoming wardens, immaculate facilities and site, beautiful location overlooking the Derwent Valley..... our only disappointment was that we had to leave..... but.... it means we can go back again!
1st Class
Just back from a nine night stay, have to say this is one of the best Club sites we have ever used and I can tell you we have stayed at a lot of Club sites.
The site is immaculate!!, toilet, shower blocks, dishwashing area, laundrette all totally spotless.
Grass areas very well kept, Les and Angie the wardens do a first class job and are two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet.
Loads upon loads to do in the surrounding areas, Belper, Matlock, Bakewell to name but a few of the nearby places well worth a visit, something for everyone.
1st class information area and even a large jigsaw on the table which we saw plenty of people sitting down and adding a few pieces while in there.
Supermarkets, local shops etc all within easy reach and the local pub is just a short walk away which serves good beer and food.
Overall a fabulous site, cannot wait to go back next year.

September Getaway
The Firs Campsite is a lovely well kept site for a chilled and relaxing stay. The couple who run the site are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Well recommended for a stay anytime of the year. Thank you and look forward to another visit in the future.

The Fantastic Firs
The Firs Caravan site is exactly what I wanted in a holiday or short break. For a novice at caravanning it couldn't have been better. A lovely friendly couple who made us more than welcome and they were very helpful in every way. The site is beautiful and clean and peaceful, the showers and toilets are extremely clean and well maintained. every facility was clean and tidy. The pitches were spacious and clean. I would recommend this site to anyone and I will certainly be staying there again. What a lovely way to start our caravanning life Superb
The Firs
Lovely peaceful location. Kind and helpful staff and facilities very good and clean. Only shame is that pitches don't have clear views of the surrounding spectacular countryside, which would make the site just that bit more special. Great site though and very well worth staying at the Firs.

autumn break
the site was very clean and tidy with good facilities and dog walk . site was well set out with plenty of water points etc would recommend .
Impeccable.
This site is impeccably clean, well managed and i would thoroughly recommend it! The facilities are exceptional, and there is an incredibly useful Information room that houses loads of leaflets on local activities and places of interest, and even a large jigsaw that folk may sit down and see if they can complete a little more of it! The wardens were extremely pleasant and helpful, and despite being busy they didn't rush me in any way, which i completely appreciated, being a 'newby'. FULL MARKS, Firs!! Thank you:)
Late stay
We arrived at this very friendly spotlessly clean site for a late autumn break. The wardens were so helpful and friendly we can't praise them enough. The site is well spaced out and well kept . We would recommend this site to couples but not families with children as there is no play area
