This is a really nice site. Our first trip but not the last. Unfortunately the weather has been awful today and the wind just ripped off our skylight!!
This brings me to the main reason for this review which is to say a huge thanks to Relief Warden Anthony. He is a hero.
He stepped in immediately at 5pm, even though his shift finished at 4pm, and made a temporary wooden roof for our van that is currently keeping the horrible weather out. Without his help, we would be in a serious mess right now. Thank you Anthony, we are really grateful.
Well organised site
Just spent 6 nights on this pleasantly small and relatively peaceful site. We were next to the road and there was some road noise but infrequent and not a problem. All facilities were spotless apart from one occasion when an inconsiderate person had left the toilet in a bad state.
This was our second trip since Covid so we had already experienced the arm band toilet block system. However, the system here, of arm bands in a sterile water tub outside the shower block was a far better system than every caravan or motorhome being issued with several bands. Having a separate toilet only block with no arm bands being required was also a big plus.
Lovely site and good location with plenty of places to visit and activities to do, even though many venues are still shut or limited. We would certainly return.

One week at The Firs.
My husband, dog & i stayed here last week for 7 nights nice & peaceful with lovely views if you have a full service pitch in the top field which we had, toilet & showers were spotless & cleaned twice a day . Would recommend for couples not for children as not much for them.
A wonderful site
We stayed here for three nights last week and wished we could have stayed longer. The site is high on a ridge overlooking a valley, woods, fields and hills in the distance. Though there were a number of dogs they were all very well behaved and the site was very quiet. the wardens were very helpful and friendly and seemed to be working all hours to keep the site clean and tidy. The service points were very tidy and well organised, and there were very good arrangements in place for everyone's safety. Would love to come here again sometime.

An absolute delight
Our 2nd trip out after lockdown. We found this site via the search facility, matching all our requirements with distance, dates and facilities. We booked a serviced pitch and the peg held for us was perfect. The management and maintenance of the site is second to none. The wristband access system to the showers and toilets is perfectly observed and gave us a feeling of security and safety. A maximum of 3 people in each side and regular cleaning. It’s all done with our safety and that of the wardens in mind. I do fear the possibility of this being expanded to 6, as social distance would be difficult to maintain and of course, also meaning extra work and risks for the wardens. I hope that this does not happen. Neither of us had to wait at any time in a busy site, let’s keep it that way eh? The views from the walk around the site are wonderful and the attractions nearby are too many to mention, we need more time I think.
We loved our week here and we will definitely be back.
First time out after Covid
At long last we were able to get away and thoroughly enjoyed our time on this lovely site. The Covid precautions worked vey well. Checking in was stress free and there were only a few occasions when I or my wife had to wait to get into the toilet block.
The additional cleaning obviously put a great strain on the Wardens. They were on their own for the first few days of our stay, but they worked tirelessly to keep everything clean and safe. They were always cheerful despite the extra work and we have nothing but admiration and gratitude for their efforts.
It was sad that the information room had to be stripped of removeable leaflets, maps walks etc. as this is usually our first port of call after pitching and settling in but some essentials were still pinned to the wall. Part of the precautions I assume.
The site itself is small, quiet and well cared for. The view across the valley is breath taking. The area is very nice with lots of interesting places to visit. We will definitely be returning.
Once again thanks to the Wardens for their efforts during these difficult times.

Great site.
Just got back after a long weekend at this lovely site, everywhere was spotlessly clean and the poor wardens worked ceaselessly to keep the site immaculate, so I would just like to say a huge thankyou to them for all their hard work. The"bands in a tub of Milton" worked very well on this site.
It was our first trip here and definitely won't be our last, our only little niggle was the irresponsible dog owners who let their dogs yap constantly.

Another lovely stay
First and only trip out since lockdown began. We booked this site because it is relatively small and from previous visits we knew things would be made as safe as possible for everyone. The staff were very welcoming and assured us that they had taken every precaution to keep the site Covid safe. We had a lovely few days, did a lot of walking and the weather was reasonably kind to us.
Thank you CAMC for all your hard work.
Great Site
Stayed here mid July for 2 nights, it is the second time we have stayed here.
A great site, lovely pitch with nice view and a friendly welcome,
The staff have done a great job regarding the Covid 19 regulations. Facilities were spotless and had a great system in place, made us feel safe without being too regulated. Well done, would definitely recommend.

Excellent first outing of 2020
First time we have stayed at this site and we were very impressed. A nice quite site with good facilities and great wardens. What really stood out was the preparations that had been made for COVID19. These were very obvious around but not so restrictive as to spoil our stay, in some respects it felt like a regular trip. Hats off to the wardens on a lovely site and their attention to detail
